Popular Post visighost
Cookie Cutter is a gorgeous looking metroidvania that provides a decent challenge and does not outstay its welcome. Here's a mini-guide for your perusal. Missable Trophies: None Difficulty: Not adjustable, maybe a 5/10 if you are not comfortable with platforming. There are enough checkpoints that the fighting shouldn't pose major issues. Time: Took me 10-15h exploring by myself without maps Post-game: After the epilogue, you'll be taken back before the final boss. No worries there. Most trophies will come naturally. Additional details on a few: Sweet Tooth: You'll trade four items for "cookies" during the game. The last one will be given to you during the epilogue. I'm not sure if you need the first 4 for it to happen, but I assume you can otherwise just beat the final boss again. No Mercy Run: You'll meet Toby in the rebel camp. You can find him (well...) again later next to the Upper Swamp teleporter in Diesel, unlocking this trophy. Running Crisis On Max/Sugar Rush: Open all red boxes to get those. A few components are sold by merchants. Note that you don't need to upgrade any of the components (though I would recommend you do) These Tools Are My Friends: I had to grind a bit to get enough money/material for this. I would recommend equipping the component that boosts Bits as soon as you get it to help. The mosquito nests give 500 Bits apiece with it equipped, so it shouldn't take long to get what you need. I'm Rich BIts: This is not cumulative, you need to hold 10,000 Bits at once. You're free to do it at any point in the game. I did roughly halfway through, when most fights were easy and I didn't feel I needed to upgrade weapons or components. Way Too Brutal: Will definitely come naturally, don't worry about it. Otherwise, there is no need for a real optimal path. I would explore, aiming for the objectives while taking all side passages. You'll need to revisit all areas often anyhow once you unlock all skills, and to farm for materials for upgrades. The one thing I had trouble finding was a key that's dropped by the first enemy in the Bloody Den. I think the guy who "feels sick" at the beginning may turn in an enemy at some point. Everything else will come naturally if you explore thoroughly, but note that the red boxes and skills are the only items you really need on each map. I have pictures of the maps but I failed at copying them from my iPhone to here. If anyone has tips, I’ll upload later.
