Fierce_DeityX1
you know how some people put dots in their email like [email protected]? (not an actual email), well that dot dosent matter http://www.slate.com/blogs/future_tense/2013/08/01/dots_in_gmail_addresses_what_happens_if_you_leave_out_the_period.html so, why do you think people still put the dots in, because the dots can organize it more, for example: [email protected] seems cleaner than [email protected]
amebapiko
Yeah, actually dots are magical portals to another realm and that's why people us them.
LeeMcD-
This has been known for quite some time. If you want to blow your mind some more, if you have something like "[email protected]" then all the mail would go to "[email protected]" as everything after the + is ignored. It's handy if you sign up for a lot of sites and want to know which ones are sending you spam. If you got some spam mail addressed to "[email protected]" then you'd know that psnp is giving your details to spam sites and can remove yourself from their lists.

Also, this is a good way to stop accounts being stolen since some people may know your email, but not the stuff after the '+'.
