Ronaldo should win but I think this prize will be " given " to Messi.
If it goes like that, next year Suarez should get it.

Got around to updating it to the three man short list. I still strongly believe it's only Messi who will win it but this poll seems to say otherwise

Just looking at this thread after a month Messi was crowned winner. How wrong a lot of you were

Not gonna bother about these awards anymore, if its based on trophies, Ribery should have won it back then, but he didn't, Neuer won the world cup, he didn't win the Ballon D'Or, Messi wins a treble and they give him the award. Total BS imo. Sure Messi did good, but Ronaldo was better individually. Thanks to Messi and Ronaldo, good players like Iniesta, Ribery, Neuer got screwed of the award and they'll probably never get nominated again, or maybe we should blame FIFA?

As for next year, I hope Lewandowski / Neymar or someone who does well at the Euros wins it, but that probably won't happen

Don't really see the complaint. Messi and Ronaldo have been the best attackers the World has seen for 30+ years. There have been fantastic players during that time, no doubt, but those two are the next level up. Unfortunately for Ronaldo, being as good as he is, Messi happened to exist at the same time. It would only be boring if they were still getting nominated off reputation and hadn't had ridiculously good seasons, but hey, they always do.
