BountyHunterinc
Spotted by French site Xboxygen, Gears of War developer Epic is in development of a "new unannounced IP," according to a recent job listing on the recruitment page of Epic's Website. The statement says: "Epic Games is looking for Gameplay Programmers to join the team currently working on Gears of War 3, as well as a new unannounced IP in development." While we have no idea what this New IP is, Epic wowed us all with the Samaritan Demo at GDC in March, and while they only had this to say about the demo; "It was what it was meant to be - here's our vision of what we can do by taking these designs and putting them together," It's actually 'fully playable'.. to an extent. A game looking as impressive as that.. wouldn't it be nice? Beyond Gears of War 3, the studio currently has no announced projects, so this one is a mystery. Parker
Is Epic owned by Microsoft, or would this new IP have a chance of going multi-platform? I think they'd see a lot more success if the developed for the PS3 as well. Parker
BountyHunterinc
Epic is independent, and they did put Bulletstorm on PS3. I'll bet this sees a Sony console as well as Microsoft. There's a chance that it maybe Multiplatform. Time will tell.
Elliot
Epic not milking Gears shamelessly? What a surprise. It's easy to forget they're not MS-owned when they haven't put out anything for the PS3 for ages. (Bulletstorm wasn't Epic, really, it was People Can Fly.) The last thing they did was UT3, but that was a pretty good port. I hope this is good. After the over-gory dullness that is Gears of War, it really needs to be, lest I lose all faith in Epic Megagames.
