ipot_04
Is it the same with The Witcher 3's base game and it's GOTY edition having separate save files?
Greenshyguy
I believe it should work - it doesn't have a separate trophy list like "The Witcher GOTY edition" and "Shadows of Mordor" (for example).

Actually that doesn't mean anything. Some examples are Batman:Arkham City and Saint's Row 3, where the trophy list was identical but save files weren't. As to the OPs inquiry, sorry I don't know. ipot_04
Already got an answer on Reddit. It's the same save file for both.
kaltezhan
Hey, it's a pretty damn old thread, but so we can have a clear answer here, I found the GOTY edition on sale and bought it, for the sake of collecting. My region is NA, and already plated the game, Old Hunters included. Booted the GOTY edition, save weren't compatible. I guess if you only played the base game, it should work. If you, like me, already interacted with anything that trigger Old Hunters DLC, your save should become incompatible. Also, there's no new trophies. Killed the Cleric Beast, and nothing popped. Still happy with my purchase. BB never gets old. Edited December 9, 2019 by Thinger95
