DLC Region - CUSA 02378

Can anyone assist as to what region I should buy the DLC from?

I have a CUSA 02378 game that was purchased in the UAE.

CUSA plus a five digit code should be the north american version.

i think UAE mostly has the american versions anyway, so this kinda supports that guess.

 

so you should be able to use more or less any NA region account to buy the DLC. like US, Canada and so on.

i'm not 100% sure tho, perhaps someone could confirm?

 

edit: @Dino_Roar i just checked the US store and the CUSA code there differs, so perhaps don't waste your money.

of course buying the DLC from the same region you got the game from would be the safest bet... for example the saudi arabia PSN store definitely has the correct CUSA code for this game.

I don't have a SA account, but was thinking of loading the game up on my US one and seeing if there was any "in game" purchase options (I can't remember if there is).

 

I had this on AC: BF4 and had to get the DLC from the US store in order to play on my EU account.

 

Edit: I cannot even find the DLC on the SA store.

Could it perhaps be named differently due to the laws there?

pretty sure its a European code, i have cusa 02377 and im in the uk.

Another way to tell would be by the rating given i.e pegi covers europe and esrb covers america which gives u a general location of where the game has come from.

Edit: So my cover has PEGI.info (18) & on the back has the world picture with a  "2".

world region 2 is middle east, europe, etc. but i don't think this will really help with the PSN store region either, since they most likely differ.

i really think you just have to get the DLC from any psn store, where the game in question has the exact same CUSA code.

 

did you try the the "ingame" or PSN dashboard store perhaps already? this seemed like a really good idea

That will be my next step when I'm back from work.

On sale in EU atm, so hopefully it'll work "in game".

Ubisoft are also replying to tweets, so fingers crossed.

i just saw that the german version also has CUSA02376: https://store.playstation.com/de-de/product/EP0001-CUSA02376_00-ACVPOSTSTANDEURP

you can always easily see it in the URL of the store link. so the german dlc should also work.

OK, I see that now.

02378 is Saudi - https://store.playstation.com/en-sa/product/EP0001-CUSA02378_00-ACVPOSTSTANDMENA

The DLC however is not listed in the Saudi store.

 

Gonna have to try that "in game".

The game does have an eshop feature.

Went to it with my US account and it said “No Content Available”.

Then tried with my EU account and it took me to the store to purchase.

 

I’ve bitten the purchased the EU version and it’s downloadingg now.

When complete I’ll update this post for anyone else wanting to know.

So update from my side, and if anyone else need some the information.

 

I was able to download the Jack The Ripper DLC and play it.
UK PSN
UAE Internet
Saudi Arabia Game (CUSA 02378)

 

I did it via the games own eShop.

Hopefully this helps anyone else with the same issue.

Create UK account, I’ve done this and worked for me.
