Parker
I've got a question for my fellow PSNP forum goers. I bought the digital version of Borderlands with all it's DLC a couple years ago when it was on sale as a bundle on PSN for $7 or so. I'd rather have a physical copy so my question is can I purchase a physical copy and still have access to all the DLC (that is downloaded on my HDD) and my character save, or will I have to purchase all the DLC again and restart the game? Thanks in advance, Parker
mattie_medusa
you can still use DLC but not sure about the character.
Vilebear
You can yes if It's not the GOTY edition. Character as well if you have the save file. Parker
MxWhiteKnight
You can as. Just be sure to get the normal game. Personally I don't know if the GOTY will reject the save. Plus getting the GOTY is redundant since you already bought the dlc.

ccfman2004
I have seen games where the digital version uses a different save ID than the physical disc. An example is Ratchet: All 4 One. I was quite disappointed when I couldn't use my save when I got the digital version for free with my PS+ subscription. Thankfully Borderlands is one of those games that you can use the digital or physical disc with you current DLC and save file. Same goes for Borderlands 2.
