Good Job trophy (SoR3)

Before I attempt this, does anyone know if this'll work for the JP region version? That version is significantly easier to beat than the Western.

It does not. It has to be played on the default region.I got the trophy by doing the level select cheat and put the game on "easy" max lives. The reason you can put the game on "easy" for Chapter 6 and 7 in the options menu is because playing the game on easy normally ends on Chapter 5, but with the level select cheat it lets you play on easy for Chapter 6 and 7! Even if you play legit Streets of Rage 3 is not that bad on Normal with the Rewind and Save features.

 

I had to play through the whole game legit back in the day and it was a pain in the ass because of how much HP everyone has.

 

They basically buffed the HP of all the enemies and added more of them, but they still act like they do in the JP version.

 

The only saving grace that the NA version has over the JP version is you don't get as much of a penalty for using your special move too early. Using your special move too early in the Japanese version will take off a good chunk of your HP, but this is countered by the enemies having a lot less HP. Plus you'll be using normal attacks much more often than your specials.

 

The final two bosses in Level 6 and 7 respectively are a pain in the ass because they fly around a lot. But with rewind and saving that's not much of a problem.

 

Definitely one of the better games in this collection. Shame it doesn't have it's own trophy list.

Level Select was patched out? It's not working for me.
