Popular Post rubhen925
Hey guys, i got access to an early copy of the game and am almost at the platinum. I thought of making some trophy guide videos (it's honestly been a while, so i'm kind of pumped to make some more). There are a few trophies early on in the game that are missable and a few later on, but half the list is story related. This is a Work in progress thread as i am just coming fresh off making boss guide videos for Death's Gambit, so sorry for the delay. *All miscellaneous, non-story related trophies are listed in the order that i earned them. So it's easy for you guys to follow. Also feel free to use these videos on your guides if you want to. Cheers! 1) Appropriate Response Trophy 2) Yummy Meal Trophy 3) Simpler Times Trophy 4) Treasure Your Friends Trophy 5) Boy Scout Trophy 6) Unexpected Visit Trophy 7) To Be This Good Takes Ages Trophy 8) Freeloader Trophy 9) Practise Makes Perfect Trophy 10) What's It Worth? Trophy 11) Cat Burglar Trophy 12) Mark's Favorite Trophy *UPDATE - That's all the trophies that are not story related that can be missed in the game. i'm pretty sure i covered them all. Hope this helps you guys. I'm off to bed and tomorrow I'll start working on Shenmue 2 Edited August 24, 2018 by rubhen925
RayCharlizard
This is great, thanks for working on these! Can you say which other trophies are missable or the "point of no return" for Shenmue 1? I've never played these games before so I've got no idea what to look out for with the trophy list. rubhen925
anything really non story related. i'll list them Appropriate Response Simpler Times Yummy Meal Treasure Your Friends Boy Scout Unexpected Visit To Be This Good Takes Ages Freeloader Practice Makes Perfect What's it Worth? Cat Burglar Mark's Favourite The ones in Bold you have multiple chances on multiple days to get them, but once you progress far enough you can't get them. Also the fortune teller one, she's open only on certain times of the day. So yea, get them out quickly. You can also make back up saves to go back these trophies if need be.

The event itself is pretty late on in the game, around the time you're looking to get to Hong Kong. You need to start feeding the cat from the start though to make sure you can trigger it later. Don't area skip. Make sure to enter from the Hazuki residence area, and Sakuragaoka (i know i spelled this wrong...). You get new things to talk about sometimes. And then one day the cat goes missing later in the game's story. Then look for it in the same district.

There are a few areas where there are toy capsule machines. 2 beside abe's store in sakura.... whatever, 2 in dobuita beside the arcade, and 1 in the harbor. spend like 3 grand in each machine and you should have 50 unique ones by then. Reload the save so you don't lose the money

No, they are the final two story related trophies, that is the culmination of the game, the giant battle and the final boss fight So no worries there. The ones that i have listed are the only ones missable and not story related
