Piranha Games to honor 5 year old

Piranha Games, the developers of Mechwarrior Online MMO, is honoring Sarah Parries, a 5 year old girl who lost her battle to cancer, with a special mech. The proceeds will go to Canadian Cancer Society.

 

Its really heartbreaking to hear of a little girl struggle with cancer, but at the same time its always good to see that the video game community can come together to honor one of its peers.The media always tries to portray us as some hateful, sexist,racist, socially outcasted shut-ins.

 

 

If anyone plays this title i hope that you have been able to support the cause and gieving family

Borderlands 2 did the same thing with another cancer victim right? And when you find the character he's based on you get a trophy I think. It's awesome how developers do this. Warms my heart some.

Stuff like this gives me hope for the gaming community. Normally all you hear is all the hate and general immaturity of gamers so it is great to see a community come together to honor a little girl.
