Boosting Tips from my dusty Discord channel

I was clearing old Discord servers I made and I was about to delete Far Cry 2 server, but I saw so many useful tips I gathered while boosted this game. Before I do delete server, I am going to copy-past it here, maybe someone will find it useful.

 

Terms: Sheep - who gets killed. Killer - who kills. Medic - player that recovers downed partner.

 

Revives Boost:

Players: 1 Killer - 1 Sheep - 1 Medic.

Rules: Mode Uprising, Map Last Bastion, Respawn 5 seconds, Hardcore mode ON.

Killer kill Sheep (no headshots). Medic revives Sheep. Killer kill Sheep and so on. Simple.

 

Manuals Boost:

Players: 1 Killer (Yellow Team) - 2(1) Sheeps (Red Team)

Rules: Mode Uprising, Map Last Bastion, Respawn 5 seconds, Hardcore mode ON.

Killer goes to RED team spawn, near ammo resupply. Sheeps after spawn run to Killer. Killer kills/headshots/executes both sheeps in way he need.

You can make up 100 kills in 1 match (15 minutes).

Multikills Manuals Boost: Same rules, but 2 Sheeps.

Sheeps stand near wall (opposite side of ammo resupply near RED spawn) close to each other.

Killer shoots between them (on floor) with explosive weapons.

For M79 I suggest do little damage to both Sheeps before shooting.

 

How to avoid connection glitch:

Due to glitches and bugs on both server and client sides you must change host/re-host game every 3-4 matches (or even 2-3, on my experience). To do quick "backout" go to main menu, go to additional content -> exclusive content. It will load internet page and game will restart itself. You may also just close game via XMB and start it again. If you lost some progress after doing "backout" just try to do it again (restart game) and it will return.

 

Better control scheme:

(Not necessary) If you playing as Sheep, change control scheme to "Long Run" will make run easier to perform. It changes run button with L1 instead of L3

About XP cap:

You can't earn more than 1500 xp per game. Even if you earn more, score will be downed as soon as you rejoin online mode.

 

How to check when your gun about jam:

Texture of a gun changes when its about to broke/jam. Never noticed before tbh

 

Warlord glitch warning:

Spoiler

Keep in mind that you need 1 diamond SPOT to perform "warlord" glitch. Don't put them all in upgrades.

Before following guide on pstrophies for warlord glitch, step 0 should be resetting your diamonds. That way you will make your XP negative. Also glitch may be done on any level, but you still need 250 000 XP for 20 level trophy.

 

3-players boost and you only need kills:

If we boost 3 players and you need kills only, you can ask for revive+kills. 1 killer, 2 sheeps, one sheep revives other after kill.

 

After running some tests, here is results of 2-players vs 3-players on last bastion:

AFK Methods on manuals and xp boost:

2 or 3 players - map: Dirty Work - Respawn: 5 Sec - Hardcore: ON

Red team: Sheeps, Yellow team: Killer

Red team can use turbo button controllers on fire button, to disable shield after spawn.

As soon as yellow spawns, he moves to red spawn points. Does not matter where red team members spawns, yellow must kill them and move away from their future spawn points (Hangar and Gate).

If done right, both sheeps will spawn together at same point and can be distantly killed with sniper rifle from point near garage.

If you boost manual on shotgun, you can control sheep spawn by killing red team and standing near their death point, untill they spawn in another point (don't come close to future spawn point or they will spawn in different location).

Remember that you want them to spawn in Hangar or near Gate. If you boost XP that way, you can capture 2 poitns before kiling.

 

Revives XP boost:

3 Players - map: Last Bastion - Respawn: 5 sec - Hardcore: ON

Red team: 1 sheep - 1 medic, Yellow team: Killer

Killer should be host, to reduce lag and gain more XP in less time.

Sheep stands near 2 boxes near their spawn, Killer kills one sheep and medic heal him.

Do this untill you get 1500 XP, then you can go capture points.

 

 

P.S. sorry for bad English here and there and low-quality photos. I was doing for friends and nobody could speak English very well at time we boosted it.

I found dirty work to be much easier to farm everything on  last bastion was to much of a headache cause players had to meet up somewhere wasting time while with dirty work if your on the team that spawns at the guts u can run to where the warehouse is and your opponents and stand by the building with the ammo and shoot them long range for those weapons or kill them in warehouse wait for bodies to vanish walk out back door they are at the gate kill them wait for bodies to vanish go back into warehouse repeat it saved me many many hours in the long run
