Do horror movies actually scare you?

I was kinda easy to scare when I was a kid, never was a fan of the genre but as an adult I've seen more movies and always try to disconnect from everything when I am watching horror flicks and try to enjoy the atmosphere, definitely is very cheap when movies just relies on jump scares and most movies do that nowadays. I prefered Midsommar over Hereditary but in general that kind of horror is cool.

The last movie almost in that genre that entertained me was Doctor Sleep.
