Play as Zangetsu NOW - Bloodstained: Ritual of The Night

Finally, after some long wait, Zangetsu Mode and Randomizer are available for Bloodstained!!! It's currently live on PS4, PC, XBOX, and Switch is coming at the end of May. Just update your game to the 1.10 patch, and achieve the "Good Ending" to be able to play both modes. Zangetsu can be selected when starting a file, and Randomizer is on the Extras menu.

Confirmed info about how to access both modes: While not appearing on the PSN Store for download, Randomizer and Zangetsu are added after updating the game. Players that have already earned the "Good Ending" will need to beat Bael again for the game to make the modes available. It's expected to be fixed in a future patch, so this is the way to play it for now.

If the mode doesn’t appear for you, you might have to reload a save from your previous game and beat the final boss again. After beating the final boss and getting the credits to roll, the new modes should show up in the menu. This is a temporary fix for now, but the developers should be pushing out a patch for it soon."

cool, i will check it out later. i knew i was forgetting something.

 

I just checked the PSN (US) and it is not showing up as of yet. tried searching for it directly as well, this was through PC not on PS4 so that might make a difference.

It's an update, just launch the console and it will download automatically. The patch notes said it's added, but I'm still not able to start playing with him yet. The website states you need to have unlocked the Good Ending, but apparently it's not totally up as of now.

I don't think so. All trophies for the platinum are related to Miriam's story, so, while Zangetsu may be able to help in getting some trophies (maybe the Cartographer, not sure), you still need to get the Good Ending in order to create a new save file for Zangetsu.
