Glitched stats

I've spent time trying to get my extreme survival up, more than 30 hours worth of time, both afking and running around and playing, but my sols survived stopped going up at 18.1 sols. So I started a new character to see if it would fix itself, but that one also wont go up. Any ideas on what to do?

Did you die at any point? If you did, then that's your problem right there. Dying will freeze the Sols Survived stat and the only way to make it go up again is to exceed it e.g. if you died at 18.1 Sols, you have to survive for another 18.2 Sols to make it go up again. Here's a snippet from my Guide on .org:

What does count towards your Survival stats:

- Staying in a cave or similar underground space.
- Staying in a building that’s above ground (including Trading Stations - Credit to Naps for this tip).
- Planets with Aggressive Sentinels

What doesn't count towards your Survival stats:

- Sitting in your Exocraft or Spaceship.
- Swimming on or underwater
- Driving or flying around your chosen Extreme or Aggressive Sentinel planet.
- Parking your Freighter in orbit around your chosen Extreme planet and staying on that for the duration.
- Pausing the game or leaving a menu open.
- Being on-board a derelict Freighter (either in space or on a planet).

You can leave the planet or quit the game at anytime and come back later without affecting your Survival stats but dying will reset the counter to 0 and you will have to restart from scratch. Dying won't reset the stat for the longest period survived but it will reset its sister stat for current period survived, thus you will have to meet and then exceed your previous record if you want that stat to increase again.

Yea, I did all of that when I died, but it still hasn't gone up, I even made a new character for it, and that characters time hasn't gone up at all either, I made a hole in the ground for it so it wouldnt be exposed to weather and left it overnight. And when I came back to it, it was still at 0.0. And it should have definitely counted as an extreme because the planet was basically covered in storm Crystal's and had storms every 5 minutes

I had this exact same problem and I don't remember dying. But creating a new character worked for me.
