Cross saves in both Direction (PS4 --> PS5, PS5 --> PS4)

So I have No Man's Sky for PS4 and I am very happy to be able to continue my game on PS5. However, I would also like to be able to continue my game on the PS4, as I now left my PS4 at my parents' house and I would like to be able to play when I'm there.

Anyone has thoughts about this? Why is it not possible to go back to PS4 if save games are managed inside the game and not through playstation cloud save?

Because that function wasn't added to the game. There's only an upload option on PS4, and a download option on PS5

Yeah but shouldn't this be something that could easily be added? Like for other cross-platform games as well eventuallly.

You can use a PS4 to remote play your PS5, so if you set it up that way then you should be able to play at both places.

Sure, if that is something the developers find easy to code in and implement.

Besides the obvious server saved games like Fortnite, Warframe or Worms, no game does this. It only works one way

Well this is a good point..?

But remote playing is never like playing with the disc..I guess I have to adapt until they hopefully add it.

I think Warframe has PS4 -> PS5 and PS5 -> PS4 cross saves

 

But No Man's Sky doesn't have it, only PS4 -> PS5.

 

Edit: Only few trophies will work from ps5 to ps4 on Warframe. If you need to stealth kill 100 enemies, you just gotta kill 1 more to get the trophy. But level 30 weapon doesn’t work on ps4 so it’s only possible to level up another weapon from scratch.

 

So better get all the trophies on PS4 bcz it’s mostly a one way trip in many games.
