Haruka’s Side Story Completion

So far I’ve been doing each characters’ side story as I go, but now I’m on Haruka and I’ve been advised to not do hers until later in the game when I can raise her level cap to 25, because without the side story jobs it’s a big grind.

 

I understand the logic of this but am concerned I’ll miss the point at which to do it (I understand it’s after Kiryu’s part).

 

I guess my question is whether it’s necessary to even get her level to 25 for the purposes of the plat. Is there content that’s hard if you don’t or items gained that are required.

 

Also, do these levels carry over to NG+?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

In order to unlock 25 cap when Kiryu returns to Kamurocho you need to beat Komaki and his nephew.You need to talk with them a couple of time.Exit dragon palace and then enter again to make avaible the new dialogue.

Level 25 is not mandatory but in order to unlock all skill you need to beat the stage on the machine on kamuro theatre in order to get the orbs you eventually miss to upgrade all skills.

Progress carry over on new game plus but you can't create a clear data after you beat the game.

If you start Premium Adventure be sure to save on a different slot than your clear data.

If you are familiar with karaoke and have unlocked Haruka skills with training you will not have any problem on her quest.

Thanks for the info. So, it’s recommended that I leave the side quests until after kiryu’s section and I’ll be able to go back to do it with the benefit of raising her level within the main game? I don’t want to have to do it in premium adventure as I understand nothing is carried through to NG+

You gain one last time control of Haruka at Kamurocho.You have also a side story at Kamurocho.After you complete that mission use a taxi to return to Osaka.Also in order to make avaible her last substory you need to complete all the Haruka's idol event.Even if you aren't fully upgrade you can do it.Just be sure to have unlock all restaurant upgrade with her in order to have the bonus and the revelation and the upgrade for rainbow skill for higher points in dance battle.

Oh, so you can’t do all of her substories and side story events in her part anyway? That’s ok then, I may as well just wait as I’ll have to come back as her. Thanks for letting me know.

1. Level 20+ carry over to NG+.
2. Level 20+ is absolutely pointless for Haruka.
3. Level 20+ has some really helpful stuff for the Coliseum. 
4. You must pay Komaki Jr. in Whateversville to take a plane trip to Kamurocho otherwise he won't spawn at the Dragon Casino.
5. When fighting The Komaki's with the Big Four, just load up on guns. The fights are pure torture.

2. You have to do 3 of the Side Mission Dance Battles (not the main story ones vs. T-Set) to spawn the "A Normal Life" Substory on Bishamon Bridge in Sotenbori. 
3. The final substory for Haruka is in Kamurocho in her Finale chapter. 
4. You must complete all Side Missions and Substories in the Finale section in order to get the 100% CP Reward which is the Golden Pistol so triple check Haruka's stuff before accepting the prompt in the dance studio. 
5. This is all very confusing. YGG should wear the cone of shame. 
6. Yakuza 5 is trash.

Thanks for that. So seems I can just ensure everything is done in the finale then, which is preferable for me anyway.

 

it does seem unnecessary that they didn’t allow PA carry over as they did in all the other games, not used to having to worry about missable things on route to platinum.

 

Can’t say I agree so far about 5 being trash though, I’m really enjoying it. Certainly much more than 4. Then again I’m only in part 3 on the first playthrough and haven’t had to deal with the grindiest parts yet.

For plot wise, wait until Finale lol. That's what I can really say without spoiling the game.
