Should I skip the original one?

Hi everyone ! I'd like to play the Steins;Gate series. I currently have the first game on PS3 I got via PS+. I have read that Steins;Gate Elite is a remake of this first game, with additional videos from the TV Show. Should I:

• Play the original game and skip Elite?
• Skip the original game and buy & play Elite for a better experience?
• Play both?

Get both but play the original first, because the Elite Edition cuts out a lot of dialogue and other moments whilst substituting them with bits and pieces from the Anime so isn't as good as the PS3 original.

Play both, the first one is a "true" visual novel experience and in other hand, elite version is awesome but it's more like watch an anime.

Thanks for your replies. About the anime, do you advise to watch it (I noticed it is on Netflix)? Where is the anime located in the chronology?
