It is fundamentally a shit game. So it'll be shit forever from the very beginning. This is what happens when lack quality level design and come up with stupid powerup ideas which 90% has no use at all and the remaining 10% breaks the maps. 

 

I mean... I barely had the patience to finish the game so I dunno how people managed to plat this garbage. It is really hard to test a player's patience this hard.

As someone playing through it now and who was hoping to go for Platinum, yes. It’s worse than shit tbf, at least shit has uses such as for fertiliser, this game has no redeeming qualities.

 

The core gameplay honestly isn’t that bad, if they combined outfits together so you didn’t have so many worthless or context-sensitive ones the game would be a solid platformer/collectathon.

 

However the games honestly just… disturbing for want of a better word, like the world design, characters and creatures along with the Japanese VA is all so creepy and strange in a platformer honestly.

 

The abundance of terrible cutscenes for the games dreadful story really harm it, constantly slowing down the action. It’s a platformer ffs it doesn’t need all these pre-rendered scenes.

 

Apart from the core platforming everything else is dreadful, the Isle of Tim’s and Tower have no real reason to be in the game, make little to no sense in their implementation and you don’t even really do anything in regards to them as they just do their own thing and you get upgrades. 
 

Balan Bout’s are awful, 1 every so often wouldn’t be so bad but by the final 4 chapters you have 3 per bloody level, 24 in total and after the first one they’re honestly a bore.

 

Just so many DREADFUL design choices. I understand the negative reviews as I’m honestly not enjoying it all that much. It’s a 3/10 when it’s bad and a solid 5/10 at it’s best.
