Any Concerns on Server Closures?

I got the daily SAM challenges on PS4 and I'm thinking about starting over on the Vita. I really enjoy the game and it would be nice to have something that I can just pick up and play for a few minutes each day.

 

Does anyone know how the SAM stuff works? Is SAM server side? Is it possible to be locked out of this trophy if they ever turn the online off? This games so old that I have to believe there is no real danger of that, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

You may get locked out of the trophy, if they'd shut the game down, unless the game just connects to the internet to obtain the date. It is unknown, unless they close it. Nonetheless, they (almost) always announce the shutdowns, so I'd give it a shot, if I were you. Anyways, all the Jetpack Joyride games (along with the mobile version) most likely run on the same server, like they did with LBP to save money, resources and allow them to last for years.

I'm able to get the S.A.M. challenges done on VITA with "Flight Mode" on. PS3 & PS4 require a connection.
