Where did they go question

I'm kinda confused as to how this works, even though i read the guide. I thought the hatch is only available for the last survivor, and that the keys reopen it if the killer closed it.

 

So how can four get through?

It's not only available for the last survivor. The time that the hatch spawns depends on how many generators are repaired and how many survivors are left, so if all 4 players are still alive the hatch will spawn in a random location after 5 generators have been repaired. If anyone dies then the amount of generators you need to repair to spawn the hatch becomes lower until you happen to be in a situation where you're the last survivor where it will spawn regardless of how many generators you've repaired. 

 

In regards to opening it, the hatch will only open if you or someone on your team brings in a key to open it or will open automatically upon spawning if you're the last survivor. If the killer happens to close the hatch (which is unlikely to happen if you open it with a key as he has very little time to do so) then you cannot reopen it, even with a key.

 

So basically the jist of it is, to get the trophy you need to have someone in your team bring in a key, all of you must stay alive and repair 5 generators to spawn the hatch, then you must find the hatch, open it with a key and all 4 of you must jump out within a seconds (not at the exact same time).

Basically yeah. The hatch will be closed when you find it if you're not alone but that's what the key is for.

Hence why you need to find 3 like minded guys, because if you do it with randoms, when they fixed the generator they will just yeet away through the gates.

 

* Equip or find the key

* fix all 5 generators

* Find the just spawned hatch

* call out and wait for your mates

* Open the hatch and everyone escapes

The way the hatch spawn works other than the last survivor standing is number of generators completed = number of survivors +1 = hatch spawn
With that for all 4 to get it you need all 5 gens done

3 to escape is 4 gens done
so on and so on 
I wish you luck in your endeavor on this, this was the last trophy I needed for the plat on ps4

the killer actually has to say it. "Where did they go?" otherwise no trophy...

I think OP just needed a tl:dr

 

Your guide has an exceptional amount of information. but maybe to much for OP to understand.
