Is there a way to verify the number of game owners for a game?

I tried going to a game's leaderboard but it doesn't show all the owners.

 

Is there something I can put in the URL like " &showall=true " to view the rest of the game owners?

If you're only out for numbers, gamstat.com was counting up until November 2020.

So you want to pull a list of everybody who owns the game and count them manually, as opposed to letting the database count them for you?

But that’s not what you’d be doing if you pulled both sets of data from PSNP. You’d literally just be checking if the database added up correctly.

 

If you truly want to validate things you need to find a second, independent source.

Yes.  I just wanted to check if the database count of "game owners" is adding up correctly.

 

Sometimes I get an obsession to check counts when I see them to pass the time.
I get a nice feeling when I can verify when everything is in order.

I can also see now how the forum title can be ambiguous.  I didn't mean game owners in the general sense.  I meant the database count of "game owners" on each game's page on PSNP.

 

If it's not possible it's okay.  I'll distract myself with something else.

I really don't think you'll ever get an accurate count because what if people have their games hidden on their PSN profile, that they don't want to share anything?  And, what about players that don't normally play with an internet connection (offline)?

I've also wondered this in passing.

 

As far as I know there's no way to see the whole list.  The difference is presumably caused by the owners that haven't earned any trophies not showing up on the leaderboard list.  So, we'll just have to assume the site is doing the math right I'm afraid.

This, the owners include anyone with the game with 0 trophies.

Plus, I have quite a few games that aren't loaded on my profile, so I wouldn't be counted for a particular game.  I'd say you'd probably never have an accurate count.
