Is this game even worth playing by yourself?

I played this for a while yesterday and it was a crap show. First, I feel the game really needs a tutorial as so many people (including myself for a bit) just had no clue what they were doing. It was very frustrating when nobody would fix gas leaks or nobody filled the oxygen. As well as all the other random stuff you can mess with around the map.

 

Second, it's a very frustrating game to play solo as rarely did other's have a mic. 80% of my games were only me with a mic, maybe, 1 other person as well. Never got anyone to be able to open the symbol doors with me because they did not have a mic. I tried to call out suspicious behavior but nobody was ever able to talk about it. Every game I played the Personoids won every time. We always died by suffocation and gas leaks mixed in with a rare Personoid kill. I played personoid 1 time and we won because nobody would fill up the oxygen. 

 

I came away from the game very frustrated and disappointed on a game I was kind of excited about.

There are moments of hilarity I found like when someone figured out at the start the if the two personoids can kill two residents the game becomes unplayable even tho they were rumbled: the lady was giggling furiously as me and the other resident tried to kill them and they tried to kill us, knowing they were rumbled but only ending when the oxygen ran out.

 But moments like that are rare with random people, a stream lined text chat would really make playing with randoms a lot more fun especially if they don't have/won't use mics... as for trophies... yeah you'll need to boost them

The game needs a tutorial for sure, but to a very basic level, and you end up learning the mechanics really easily, so maybe the intention is that you don't know if someone is sabotaging or not until you have experience. Also yes the game is fun to play alone, I played yesterday and some matches were bad but some were good and because you don't know each other is very hard to get if someone is sabotaging or not.

Yeah the trophies are for sure going to need to be boosted.

Just got the plat, u will need to boost with 6 or else it’s very hard

Depends, if ur lucky (rng) u can get it in about 12ish (includes helping others) if not it takes a couple more, took me 15h with helping and having really unlucky rng

Not rly tbh, just look at the trophy list and get the trophy related to the personoid quick, like for chandelier trophy u need to be personoid and get the map ‘casino’, also get in a boosting group of 6

Yeah it sound really bad, surprised they don't have a tutorial. I am only familiar with this game since I watched it on twitch.

This is a social deduction game, like among us, so you need to communicate with the crew, no point in even playing otherwise, especially since there are tasks like the one you mentioned that need you to be able to talk to one another and cooperate. Maybe it's peoples 1st game, and they have no idea what kind of game it is, and they are just giving it a try.

 

Then again, I would only play social deduction games with friends, I feel like playing this kind of games with strangers online would just be a yelling nightmare. Then again you are saying the majority of players don't even have mics here so... lol
