Reviving successors

Just wondering, how do you revive these successors?  I' would assume I'm 1/2 way thru the game and I just read that they are stone statues in memory's you see after killing bosses...

 

I've been skipping the cinematics/events that pop up after a boss is killed.

 

Does this negate the 'statue activation" for resurrecting successors.

You need to first find all of the vestiges for the successor and restore the memories before fighting and beating the successor. Then after the fight there are several cutscenes you can skip with options, the last of these will be the statue.

 

If you had found all the vestiges and restored the memories, then you can press  to revive them. The prompt will say "memory".  This part can be skipped with options too, so be careful if you're button mashing.

 

You have to play through 3 times for the plat anyway, one of those times is not reviving any of them, so you should still be on track for plat.

Yes just like @Milktastrophe said above u need to pick up all the vestiges of successors and then interract with the statute to revive all the successors. 

There are only 4 successors in 4 areas 

1. Successor of ribcage in cathedral of sacred blood 

2. Successor of breath in ridge of frozen souls 

3. Successor of claw in city of falling flame 

3. Successor of throat in crown of sand

Ok so I've already killed and skipped 2 successors haha so I'll keep skipping for the revive 0 ending.

It's a great game 

 

I stoped playing and it fell into backlog after 2nd boss kept destorying me.

 

Super easy now after platting nioh
