Dreakon139
I like the movies, I thought the demo was kind of neat when I played it. Which game is better though? I'm guessing there isn't any brilliant story between the two of them, so I'm not sure if playing the sequel first will matter... but I'm thinking going for the one with the better gameplay is more important. TehCro
Didn't play much of either, but 2 looks like it has more puzzle elements, which is a lot cooler for that kind of game.
Death
They're both pretty solid games and rent worthy. I like the second a little more since the puzzles are better and cooler and it's darker and there are better traps. SAW II IMO is a better game and there is a story connected between the first game and the second game. Only thing I hate about SAW II is the Carla trap... no idea how I passed that shit.
TehCro
So I ended up buying the first game (it was like >7 bucks new.) and other than the absolutely horrible combat, it's not too bad of a game. Probably will pick up the second one if I find it just as cheap.
Skippy
I'm playing the first game at the moment and I nearly have it completed. The game is ok but yeah you're right the combat does suck. What was the second game like?
drummerklg
The second game has no combat, so it went from bad combat, to no combat, the second game you press three buttons when you encounter an enemy, that is the combat.
nagisa-chan1987
The two games are good especially the first one. Platinum trophy is really easy to get

Black Goku
SAW has a better story that SAW2 : flesh blood and better fit in the movie's story. Gameplay however was better in SAW2. In the end SAW was slightly better than its sequel
ImKelton
Hello thread from 7 years ago. I completely prefer SAW over it's sequel. not only because i feel like it's got more charm. but the sequel currently goes for about £20 more than the original
