Hi all,

I have the base game on a US account and my main is AUS

Can I purchase the DLC on the AUS account and it work with the game?
Or do I need to buy the DLC from the US psn store?

Thanks :D

Thank for asking this. I wanted to buy AFL Live 2 last year; purchasing Australian PSN credit without getting ripped off on the exchange rate was a ridiculously difficult mission.

I still have some credit left which I'd like to spend on DLC but I don't know what region Australian PS3 games fall under. Unfortunately there is no way of checking the SKUs for PS3 games online by country anymore.

I'm assuming that Australia has the same SKUs/Game IDs as EU/UK based on a random sampling on PlatPrices.com for PS4/5 games:

For example:

https://platprices.com/game/78364-crysis-3-remastered?userregion=GB - SKU = CUSA18673

https://platprices.com/game/78364-crysis-3-remastered?userregion=AU - SKU = CUSA18673

Another example:

https://platprices.com/game/79369-elden-ring?userregion=GB - SKU = PPSA04609

https://platprices.com/game/79369-elden-ring?userregion=AU - SKU = PPSA04609

Edit: See Stevieboy's response below. It's EU in Australia, so that does include PS3.

As far as Sony, and the PSN, are concerned, Australia falls under the EU market. So theoretically, any DLCs bought from an EU PSN market store should work with an Aus game.

Thank you very much Stevieboy, I greatly appreciate that. I suspected so but don't really want to waste money on an educated guess.

I guess I should mention that there are some very bizarre exceptions. For example, Horizon Zero Dawn had THREE EU SKUs: CUSA01021, CUSA07319 and CUSA07320). I found this out the hard way. I bought a second hand physical copy in France which was actually the Portuguese/Malta/North Africa version, so my save didn't work with the free UK Complete Edition with the DLC on PS+. What a needless palaver that was to fix.
