marius_maximus
All of a sudden this game has become one of the most popular games of the week here. Am I missing something or is just a weird coincidence?
DovahkiinChild
Most likely because RDR2 is a prequel to RDR1, so players who intend to play the newly ported RDR1 PS4 version are probably giving RDR2 a go that way they can pick up the story right where it leaves off from the end of RDR2. Also, there's not a native PS5 version of RDR2 (yet), so it makes sense that all the Red Dead enthusiasts pile up on the sole PS4 version, hence why it's boost in weekly popularity was imminent. Pretty kewl to see so many people take an interest in John and Arthur's story too! Edited August 27, 2023 by DovahkiinChild
GothGirlMaxine
Honestly, anyone who's playing RDR2 is in for a good story, so I don't blame them.
KingGuy420
It actually stays pretty close to the top of the list all the time, just rarely in the top 10. Whenever most of the list is under the 1000 players mark, there's always a few weird ones sneaking in there. God of War and Horizon 1 did this for a long time too. marius_maximus
That’s fair enough. I platted and 100% RDR back in the days and I loved the story, but the time to plat for this one really turns me down. Is it still that long?

KenjiCBZ
That's a trend I have noticed: whenever a new game of a franchise is announced, close to be released or actually released, other games of the same series get played a lot.

I don’t mind spending a long time if it’s for something interesting, fun or just worth it, but I don’t keep good memories or any joy at all from the RDR MP boosting. Especially from the DLCs…
Waspfarmer
its 100% because of johns story being played again.. im turning green of new players who are playing 2 then 1 for the first time, 1 and 2 at the top where they belong
