Which DLC is harder for the "in one sitting" trophy?

The Signal is harder, though The Writer can be more frustrating.

The Writer has no real difficulty combat at all, and hardly any “cheap spawns”… but it does have more sections where annoying glitchy things might kill you (like objects becoming deadly due to the physics engine in the ferris wheel, for example)

Definitely find The Writer to be more irritating to knock out. The dodgy object physics, the platforming - especially the jump to the house’s roof - and the amount of it where you’re forced to just stand around and wait instead of continuing to progress makes it much more frustrating and also makes it feel longer, even if it isn’t. Signal might have some cheap spawns, especially towards the end or during the monster truck fight, but memory or a guide can get you through, while when The Writer decides to be a dick and says it’s time to die, you die.

This perfectly captures my own thoughts. I needed quite a few restarts in The Writer.

The Writer is easy as long as you don't waste your flares, don't rush or try to pair it with other trophies. Never had any issue with the platforming sections. It actually felt like Remedy made this DLC with the deathless run in mind.

The Signal, on the other hand, requires you to be very conservative with ammo use (unlike the base game). It also requires a bit of luck as the enemy RNG can screw you over as you've, no doubt, found out by now.  It''s very easy to become overwhelmed if you're not on the ball. The final "boss" is also ridiculous -  you'll need as much flare gun ammo as possible, trust me. 🙄
