I think you mean the odds would be incredibly low to hit the number exactly.

I wrote "low" originally, then changed it to "high" because I thought of odds such as 100/1 being referred to as high, not low. Now I've just confused myself.

I'm pretty sure the correct phrase would either be "the odds would be high" or "the chances would be low".
