StrickenBiged
Hey there Sly I'm trying to start a topic charting my progress learning guitar with Rocksmith 2014. I'd like to reserve the next 2 posts below the topic opening post. I have been able to reserve 1 post, but cannot reserve a 2nd - additional replies to the topic are simply appended to the immediately preceding post. People often want to do the same thing when creating a trophy checklist. It might be useful if Topic Creators were able to reserve a couple of posts when starting a new topic. Perhaps a Yes/No check-box "Would you like to reserve posts?", then a drop down pick-list where the user can choose how many posts they'd like to reserve. I'm sure you can come up with a workable maximum number of reserved posts given what users end up needing in these sorts of situations. Out of interest, what is the current limit on a post's length? All the best, Stricken
TheYuriG
Agreed. I wanted this to happen as well when I created the Charity Asylum and I had to wait for someone to post before starting my own request. This would be nice, as much as people simply cba using the edit button and double post instead.

All the best, Stricken While I agree with this, it's an anti-spam measure that prevents people from claiming more than 1 post within 30 minutes. Note that the timer resets every time you post again. Solution Sly Ripper Posted September 8, 2015 Solution Share Posted September 8, 2015 I'm pretty sure the size of the post allowed is large enough to not need reserved posts.

I'll take your assurance on it and see how I get on. After 30 mins passed, I got my 2nd reserved post anyway... If you want to clean up the reserved posts at beginning of the thread, I don't mind. Asuka Langley
Out of interest, what is the current limit on a post's length? ^ Can we get this answered regardless of whether the suggestion is taken on? I always believed it to be 10k characters, though I'm not entirely sure.

lesk8vaincra
Holy moley... You can try yourself with a lorem ipsum generator, but even copy/pasting 500k characater takes some time on this computer Edited September 8, 2015 by lesk8vaincra
StrickenBiged
^Yeah... that's plenty big. I think I should lock this post now that it's been proven useless and answered. Thanks all.
