Popular Post Not_like_therest
My first attempt with gimp, simple crop and text no smudging or anything Not_Like_therest Digital Conglomeration of Mementos and Knickknacks Gaming History: Mementos for the memories (May Delete this upper portion at some point) I started gaming before I had a "real" console. When I was little (late 80s-early 90s), wal-mart used to sell these handheld games that were stand-alones. Sonic, Batman, pinball etc were a little larger than the typical cheap smaller ones (think whole hand size vs palm span) that played football, baseball, etc sport games, that some of us who are a bit older probably remember better than those I first mentioned. The stand-alones cost about $15 and we were too poor for a real console until I was about 9 or 10 when my dad found a used SNES for my sister and I. A few years later I got an original gameboy with a few games like Donkey Kong, Tetris, Kirby, at some point I got the Magnifier (with a light) that snapped on so it didn't strain my eyes, and that cartridge that let you play GB on the SNES. When we finally got a computer around 1999, it came with the game Age of Empires, thus my fascination with strategy games began. I played it for hours and hours, same for AoE 2: Age of Kings when it was released, and so on for Caesar 2/3, Pharaoh. Plus a few types of other games. Around 2001/2002 my cousin's dad had given her a ps1 for christmas or a birthday or something. We played Tony Hawk for 6 months to a year straight, mastering that game. 100%-ing every level and getting good at learning how to do the specials. This was back when you could throw a controller at a wall hard as you could and not worry about it shattering or need to spend another $60. About 2004 or 2005 I traded my own ps1 up for a ps2. Never 100% any of the games I played on it, but I loved that thing. GTA: SA flight school tested my patience more than any other game I had tried. At some point I had decided to go back to pc gaming, bought a new video card, more ram and space. Played America's Army 2, Fallout 3 (Pre-dlc) for months on end. Went through a couple computers before I decided to go back to consoles. I had wanted a ps3 but they were still too expensive, so I made the biggest mistake ever. I spent 5 years on xbox with a disk drive dying on me every year and had to get it replaced. I was a clan officer of an Achievement Hunter squad for about year, that was a horrible experience with being cyber-stalked by more than a few people and left so extremely creeped out and scarred from it. I closed down facebook and never again will I have another social network account. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyhow, this isn't going to be just platinum list, I plan on adding other stuff. Backlog, 100% list, games I don't care or want a platinum for but do intend to increase completion rate or even just a few additional trophies in one day, desire and importance scale, color coding, I don't know....just stuff. I only play games I am interested in as long as I am interested, I have a limit to my patience. If it has a serious grind or too many collectibles, I'm likely to leave it after I finish the story and whatever misc trophies I want. As much as I enjoy certain types of games, it can be short lived, and abandoned for a year or 2 or more. I'm still working on games I 1000'd on xbox since I like the platinum concept better than just numbers in a "gamer score" as well as PS exclusives that I had never played before...so my backlog is sizable at the moment. Color Code list- (Mostly to remind myself of where I am in my backlog and progression intentions) Trophy Milestones listed and not on my profile, Honorable mentions for my cabinet (Whether due to trophy image or game/story) Older Games- Pre-trophy/achievement era that I spent many hours enjoying. All Platinum/100% game titles. If a game is not 100% but has platinum, it may show up later as a Backlog title. Final Fantasy: Lightning Returns (PS3)- May 24th 2014 The first final fantasy I ever played was 13 on xbox, I liked the story and wanted to see it through to the end. But I played it to begin with because of Lightnings V.A. did an amazing job in Mass Effect and I wanted to see if she was as good in another game. 2. The Walking Dead (PS3)- July 18th 2014 From xbox so I could continue the story of Clementine with my own choices not TellTale's randomness. 3. Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS4)- January 9th 2015 I like Bioware. But not enough to buy a repackaged core game with "codes" stuffed inside like a forgotten leaflet on a car window. I'll wait for a sale and rent. 4. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor (PS4)- January 20th 2015 Manager at Gamestop showed me a video of a few executions, wasn't interested before then but was after. 5. Styx: Master of Shadows (PS4)- January 31st 2015 Amazing and fun stealth game 6. Transistor (PS4)- Febuary 12th 2015 Loved the gameplay on this. I'm pretty picky about what turn based games I'll play and what indies I spend my time on. This became the standard for any indie game I play. 7. Apotheon (PS4)- Febuary 25th 2015 I spent too much time watching the History channel not to play this 8. Tomb Raider (Definitive Edition- PS4)- March 8th 2015 Because of all the frustration you gave me in TR2 on the pc in the 90's. Not sorry for drowning you all those times though.... 9. The Order: 1886 (PS4)- March 12th 2015 Wonder if they will ever continue the story on this? 10. Sleeping Dogs (Definitive Edition PS4)- March 24th 2015 True Crime Nostalgia 11. Final Fantasy Type- 0 HD (PS4)- April 4th 2015 Final Fantasy Knickknack 12. inFAMOUS First Light (PS4)- April 24th 2015 I need to go back to Infamous 2 one day and at least get past the beginning, who knows maybe even finish the story. To do list noted. 13. Dying Light (PS4)- May 2nd 2015 I hate zombie games, I really do. I tried Left for Dead, Dead Rising 2, Waw zombies, this was the only one I completed beyond the main story. I want to give the Following Dlc expansion a try but I'll wait for it to be patched whenever it finally gets released and read some reviews. That other nonsense they called dlc was NOT worth that season pass and glad I passed. 14. The Walking Dead (PS4)- May 21st 2015 Season 3: Clementine for the win! 15. Ether One (PS4)- June 7th 2015 The Lighthouse: A metaphor for Alzheimer's in an otherwise unforgiven, broken game. Lucky you had all those gold trophies. 16. Dragon Age II (PS3) July 15th 2015 My warden, my champion, my inquisitor 17. Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS3)- August 6th 2015 You were a buggy mess. Never got over your stuttering problems, did you? Nope. You still killed my last ps3, so now I say Good day! 18. Mass Effect (PS3)- August 7th 2015 Poor Shepard, when bioware wasn't abusing you, your teammates would get stuck until you commanded them to stand away. 19. Tropico 5 (PS4)- August 15th 2015 Have they released the final trophy dlc pack for you yet? I have no idea but I got sick of waiting. I dislike the turn based style on Civilization games. Nor do I like the futuristic setting of Command and Conquer. 20. Borderlands (PS3)- September 6th 2015 I spent so many hours on this on xbox and now I have this shiny platinum. I doubt I'll have the patience to 100% this considering the claptrap collection drop rates. I get burnt out on this series quick now. I did 2+dlc playthroughs on xbox plus 2.5 on Borderlands 2 back then. Half of a playthrough on BL2 on ps3 before my previous ps3 died, then I picked this up on the cheap for some sale recently. 21. The Walking Dead (Vita)- September 7th 2015 Zombie Knickknack- It is so bland compared to other platinums. I'm not sure why I bought a vita, I'm positive there was a few games on it I wanted to play. I know I'll get flack for this but one of the ones I had wanted to play: Tales of Hearts R looked so dated compared to how I got used to looking at my characters on PS4 and PS3, the story that I had been so interested in didn't seem to matter. It broke the immersion for me or something. I looked over some other games, but nothing jumped out at me to make me spend money on it rather than for my consoles. I hadn't wanted to play any lego games at the time and wasn't going to waste money buying what I wasn't interested in. Majority of the indies look like SNES titles for all the PS consoles. Never watched anime and I am extremely picky (more now than I was before) with any Jrpg I buy, it gets googled, wiki'd and youtubed. Got this particular game for 5 bucks from a flash sale. Played it the night before I sold it. 22. Mass Effect 2 (PS3)- September 11th 2015 N7 Golden Glory 23. Assassin's Creed II (PS3)- September 15th 2015 AC Heyday. I didn't 1000 this on xbox because of Sweeper and feathers. Did it for the platinum. 24. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim (PS3)- September 18th 2015 Bethesda, let me count the ways I loathe you and your games. Really hope Fallout 4 is not a train wreck. 25. L.A. Noire (PS3)- September 25th 2015 Gonna attempt 100% if I can accomplish whatever youtube video I find for that Nicholson Electroplating trophy 26. Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS3) October 1st 2015 Another Final Fantasy Knickknack 27. The Talos Principle (PS4) October 21st 2015 Now this IS a puzzle game. Omg, did some of those feel so satisfactory solving them on my own. Like the moment of justifying to yourself the right to claim some intellect. Anyone who identifies with the sleeper hit/ cult phenomenon niche or just love of puzzle games, I highly recommend this. 28. Everybody's Gone To The Rapture (PS4) November 2nd 2015 I liked Kate and this plat image. Story's subliminal message was a bit too sappy for me. But it was fine for what it was. 29. Game of Thrones (PS4) November 18th 2015 Instinct and Nobility was my first. I'd only make a few changes second time around but sorry Mira, better off dead than being raped to produce children for someone like that. 30. Life Is Strange (PS4) December 6th 2015 [The image wont copy] 31. Mass Effect 3 (PS3) December 16th 2015 Journey completed. Can't wait for Andromeda! 32. Fallout 4 (PS4) December 18th 2015 Addiction and Hoarding at its finest in a Bethesda game. 33. Tales from the Borderlands (PS4) December 30th 2015 Better than I thought it was going to be. Wasn't originally planning on buying it 34. Tales of the Borderlands (PS3) January 12th 2016 35. Game of Thrones (PS3) February 13th 2016 Because I couldn't play Book of Unwritten Tales 2 drinking mini-game without pausing the game first, and sometimes during main game. Both were still horribly laggy titles on PS3. #36. Splinter Cell: Blacklist (PS3) February 20th 2016 Another Sam Fisher and Tom Clancy game that is amazing. #37. :platinum:Far Cry: Primal :platinum: (PS4) February 29th 2016 This is a Leap Year Platinum. Sadly that doesn't come with its own Milestone notice. It's title is Apex Predator. I found it fitting enough for a day that only happens once every four years. Also my #30th 100% title, an accomplishment in itself if you knew how much I left my xbox games unfinished. #38. :platinum:Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes :platinum: (PS3) March 22nd 2016 I was sick of the golden bricks by the end. Have 3 more of these (Batman 3, Movie Video Game and Dimensions) with JP sitting on my wishlist. It might be 5 years before I'm ready for that collectible hunt. #39. :platinum:Bully :platinum: (PS4) May 4th 2016 Never got all the collectibles on PS2, so glad they changed that for the trophies. Played the Scholarship Ed on 360, it glitched and didn't give me the cheevo's for last 2 chapters I think. So I didn't even bother attempting the Nut Shots high score to 1000'd, can't say I would have attempted to anyways due to the 300 rubber band collectible. 1st of the PS2 ports I've done of the 4 or 5 I bought. #40. :platinum:Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning :platinum: (PS3) June 22nd 2016 Part of my backlog that I finally decided to start/ finish (base game at least). Think the title Perfectionist is a pretty good one for a rounded number like 40. #41. :platinum:Dishonored :platinum: (PS4) July 1st 2016 I really have zero interest in getting a 100% in this game. Another 30 trophies and some of them are really annoying. Plus I'm just done with it. #42. :platinum: Gemini: Heroes Reborn :platinum: (PS4) September 3rd 2016 #43. :platinum: Horizon Zero Dawn :platinum: (PS4) March 31st 2017 First plat I earned in 7 months #44. :platinum: Styx: Shards of Darkness :platinum: (PS4) April 24th 2017 #45. :platinum:Legend of Korra :platinum: (PS4) April 24th 2017 100% 1. Final Fantasy: Lightning Returns 2 and 3. The Walking Dead Season 1- 2 out of 3 played copies 4 and 5.The Walking Dead Season 2- 2 out of 2 played copies (Vita not played) 6. Styx: Master of Shadows 7. Transistor 8. Apotheon 9. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition 10. The Order: 1886 11. Final Fantasy Type 0- HD 12. inFAMOUS: First Light 13. Toren 14. Ether One 15. Mass Effect 16. Assassin's Creed II 17. Final Fantasy XIII-2 18. L.A. Noire 19. The Talos Principle 20. Everybody's Gone To The Rapture 21 and 22. Game of Thrones- 2 of 2 copies 23. Kingdom Hearts 388/2 Days 24. Life is Strange Fallout 4 -subject to change on dlc release 25 and 26. Tales from the Borderlands- 2 of 2 copies 27. Mass Effect 3 28. Splinter Cell: Blacklist 29. Far Cry: Primal 30. Soma 31. Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS4) 32. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes 33. Bully (PS4) 34. Gemini: Heroes Reborn (PS4) 35. Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) 36. Styx: Shards of Darkness (PS4) 37. Legend of Korra (PS4) Older games (No trophies) Beyond Atlantis- PC Around 98/99, Puzzle and adventure like tomb raider only no guns...amazing graphics set in locations all across the globe. I have a busted eardrum that Dr's had to repair, its still not top notch so I had to have someone help me with this in game sequence puzzle. To progress the story past the 2nd quest you had mimic this guy who who would only speak to you if you made the same bird noises, I couldn't tell the difference for the life of me so a friend had to do it anytime I started over. Age of Empires Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings Caesar 2-3 Pharaoh Tomb Raider 2-3 (PC) Mario Bros Super Mario Bros 1-3 Super Mario Kart Tetris True Crime New York True Crime Hong Kong Donkey Kong Country (Gameboy) Kirby (Gameboy) Sims 2 + All Explansions (PC obviously) Tony Hawk 1 and 2 (didn't care for anything released after, played most of them though) Grand Theft Auto 3 Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories Vintage Tiger Electronic Football (Link) Vintage Game (similar to the Batman and Sonic I mentioned) Edited January 22, 2020 by Not_like_therest

freddie1989
Nice list so far, keep it up. Just got the 100% on Borderlands last night. For Claptrap just leave him behind the bus and let the drops happen for a few hours and play PS4 instead.

zajac9999
Nice checklist. I like how you've added a good amount of background about yourself and would agree with you and Boooda about Xbox. You have a few nice plats too. The colour scheme looks a bit convoluted imo but also I haven't spent too long looking at it. I'm sure it makes more sense to you. For Claptrap just leave him behind the bus and let the drops happen for a few hours and play PS4 instead. Oh I can't, my tv has 2 hdmi plug ins and 1 is for the dvr/satellite box. Nice checklist. The colour scheme looks a bit convoluted imo but also I haven't spent too long looking at it. I'm sure it makes more sense to you. Lol yea thx, it probably is to the outsider but I know what I mean lol. I'll probably add "Importance" to the red number at some point but it was like 2 or 2:30 am local time last night. And clarification on the difference between desiring how nice the plat would be and how important it actually is in relation to rest of my backlog and my time.
