Your best Nurburgring lap

Everyone who is even only a little bit a fan of cars & racing knows it, some people love it as heaven, some people hate it as hell, at least everyone who played Gran Turismo drived some laps on it. 

 

What I'm talking about? Yes, the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife!

Since I'm going to drive on it for the first time in real life soon I wanted to know some things from you:

 

What's your best lap with a street-legal series car in GT5/GT6?

What's your best lap with a racing car in GT5/GT6?

 

Mine actual best round with a BMW M5 on GT5 is 7:40

...which is nothing special tho, I'm still practicing

 

 

 

 

 

 

(This also could be in the GT5 area, but I wanted to open the thread here since GT6 is obviously more actual)

I remember going for GT-R Official Record on Gran Turismo 5 and earning it so I at least got below 7'29.03 with the Nissan GT-R. I think I was a few seconds under the required time, I might go check what it was now.

My best lap is around 6:50 in a fully modified Subaru STI. I have a racing set up in my home. I got a playseat, wheel, stick, and three pedal set up. When I don't have any games I am interested in trophy hunting for I just love doing laps around the Nurburgring. I got to the point where I takeoff the mini map, and I know every turn. I love it so much. Makes me want to go back to GT5 to work on the GT-R official record trophy. 

 

Edit: Went back to GT5 to get the GT-R Official Record Trophy, and then after a couple months of work the platinum followed!
