Where is Dogmeat..?

Hello guys, so I've been playing some Fallout 4 and a few missions back (Can't remember what mission it was, Reunion?) 
After the mission was finished I had Nick as my partner instead of Dogmeat wich was fine, I think I even chose between them. The thing is when I got to choose between Piper or Nick I got to send them somewhere and that isn't the case with Dogmeat. I just can't find him now.

I have no clue where he could be.. I can't find him at Red Rocket and I can't find him in Sanctuary, I know he's supposed to be in a dog house, but I've destroyed everyone as far as I can see.. So I have no clue where Dogmeat could be and I kind of want him by my side.

Lets hope Bethesda patches in a partner tab into the game!

There has to be a doghouse that you missed... What may work as a quick fix is to build a doghouse at your main settlement. Thats what I did for Sanctuary and he is always in the house whenever I go there now

I had the same thing happen to me. I scrapped every doghouse at Sanctuary prior to sending him back and I figured he'd be gone forever.

All I did was build a new doghouse and traveled a bit, maybe even slept awhile. When I came back he was sitting inside the doghouse.

In my game Dogmeat was based in Sanctuary so he just returned there on his own after a while. I had a doghouse there but I'm not sure it matters. He should automatically return to whichever settlement he usually is at.

Try big settlements like Red Rocket or Sanctuary
