Popular Post GlennRhee
I was on 360 before this, so I've gotta rebuild everything from the ground up. That means platting previously 1k'ed games, and getting invested in new ones. Mostly, I'm just hoping that having this will motivate me, because I have a habit of getting the urge to play a game, not being able to decide which one, and resolving the dilemma by watching Netflix instead. Currently Working On Wild Arms 3 9% Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth 30% Special The games I've committed to for the Summer Backlog Challenge. Norn 9: Var Commons 0% L.A. Noire 0% Amnesia: Memories 0% The Walking Dead: Season Two 0% Saints Row IV: Re-Elected 9% Platinum List Currently, I have 20! This is a work in progress, since I should be gaming and not posting. I'll come back to talk about my thoughts on previously-obtained platinums when I have more time on my hands. Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut Platinum #1 Here it is: the game that made me sign up for PS+! I actually bought this game on Day One when it released for the 360 back in 2010, and man, was I addicted. To date, I've beaten it three times in total (since difficulty achievements didn't stack...never finished my normal playthrough, but ah well), and I've loved every minute of it. Definitely one of my most cherished games of all time. The Walking Dead Platinum #2 I get it. Telltale games are easy platinums. They'll always be super relaxing to me, though, and I loved those "choose your own adventure" books as a kid. I 1k'ed this on the 360, but I replayed it so I'd have choices on hand in anticipation of the eventual Season Three. Also, I'm a huge TWD fan, if my PSN handle isn't a dead giveaway. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punsihments Platinum #3 I was very excited for this game when it was announced as a PS+ offering. I'd heard a lot of good things, so I played it through as quickly as I could. I was disappointed, and towards the end, I was definitely playing for the platinum as opposed to playing for enjoyment. Not much more to say. ROBOTICS;NOTES Platinum #4 Bought this so it would replace Sherlock Holmes as my fastest platinum. It's got my least favorite premise of the trilogy, but since I didn't actually read any of the text, I'm not sure it really matters. Until Dawn Platinum #5 Here we are, folks. The sole trophy in my cabinet. Until Dawn is a very easy Platinum, so I'm not showcasing it as a particularly notable accomplishment. However, this game has a lot of sentimental value for me. A day one purchase for me, Until Dawn came at a time in my life that was...complicated, to say the least. I ended up streaming a perfect run of the game for my friends without PS4s, and it ended up being somewhat of a bonding experience for all of us. I think that was the turning point that made me closer to my best friend, if I'm being honest. I'll always hold this game very near and dear to my heart. Also, Emily is best girl. Grim Fandango Remastered Platinum #6 UUUUUUUGHHHHH. I hated almost every second of this game. I bought it in a sale after hearing such good things (and actually lamenting my inability to play it before its console release...tfw mac). Regret. It didn't help that I had to replay a good 20 minutes after experiencing the grinder glitch. To add insult to injury, I could have saved $5 if I'd waited until it was free on plus. I get that people like this game. I'm just not one of them. Tales from the Borderlands Platinum #7 Mixed feelings here. On one hand, it was a Borderlands game, and I love the mainline. On the other...I had quite a few problems. I typically hate romance unless it's a dating sim, so the Rhys/Sasha was so stomach-churning that I went out of my way to be mean to her. And, well, I know Telltale games just give you the illusion of choice, but it was really disheartening to side with Jack the whole way through and then be forced to go with Fiona in the end, especially considering how GoT and TWD Season 2 both give you more branching paths. Despite my disappointment, I'll still play a sequel if there is one, and hope that the issues I had with this one aren't present. Corpse Party: Blood Drive Platinum #8 I went out of my way to plat this on Halloween. The original Corpse Party was one of the first games I played on my Vita. I am...very much a fan of the horror genre, especially when there's guro, so I have no complaints here other than wanting a fourth game. Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi Platinum #9 "But Katie, you hate romance!" I know what I said. I'm still weak for visual novels, and I knew what I was getting into when I purchased it. I may or may not have sped through the Hijikata route, though. Overall, it was good, and I had fun with it! Taco Master Platinum #10 I actually bought this before realizing how easy a platinum it would be. I've been playing time management games like Diner Dash and Delicious for ages. I just wish there were more on the Vita. Sometimes a gal needs a nice casual game. Monster Monpiece Platinum #11 I love girls. Hot dog, I love girls. Final Fantasy VII Platinum #12 Ah, FFVII. One of the first games I ever played as a new Sony gamer in 2001. I was glad to be able to re-experience it with the addition of trophies, especially as someone who prefers turn-based combat to real time. Truly, I prefer the dystopian-ish setting pervading the first third of the game, so that's the part that sticks out most to me. Everything after you-know-who dies felt almost brand new. A highly regarded game, and for good reason. Persona 4: Dancing All Night Platinum #13 tfw you haven't even platinumed Golden yet. Anyway, P4Dan was a fun little plat. I love rhythm games (gestures fondly to my idolized Cyber Nico), and the addition of P4 characters made for a good story. It got a little repetitive at times, and some songs were less fun to play than others (looking at you, Junes theme), but all in all, I had fun with it. Backlog Please help. GlennRhee
Nice list, but if you want you could make the icons bigger... 2 Decaded Platinums! Nice one congrats You better work on more in the future Thank you! I've got a good 3.5 months before I go back to school, so I'll be doing my best to make a dent in my games! Ahh such a slim backlog even being in construction, If only I had that few games Nice work on your platinum list ! Still need to play Deadly Premonition someday. Have fun with your backlog, you have a lot of fun good games to go through. Hopefully that's most of them...I only wrote down the ones I remembered off the top of my head. I don't think I've ever met a gamer with no backlog though, haha. But thank you! Deadly Premonition is definitely worth a play. It's an easy plat, but it's also a quirky little horror game with some memorable tracks and NPCs. I wish there were more like it. I'm also not ashamed to admit that I'm one of those people who tried the sinner's sandwich. I hope you end up picking it up, even if it only adds to your backlog.
James_Tonto
You've got a small but respectable plat collection. But you also have a growing backlog of unfinished games. Which can very easily spiral outta control, with so many unfinished games. I know, cause I've got the same problem ^^;. I recommend making some time maybe after your Summer backlog challenge to tackle Heavy Rain, Fallout 3, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, inFAMOUS and Okami HD. None of these games were especially hard for me personally. Though Heavy Rain's 18 endings were severely annoying to track down. Collectibles will really be the only challenge where you'll need to look up a guide, specifically for Okami HD, Fallout 3, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and inFAMOUS. These five are pretty respectable plats, so be sure to track them down. I know you can earn their plats

I know you can earn their plats Ugh I know, the backlog is such a problem (though, thankfully most of those were PS+ offerings, so I'll eventually weed out the games I'm not interested in without feeling guilty). My downfall is repurchasing games I've 1ked on the 360 (Fallout 3/NV, L.A. Noire, Saints Row IV) to get them on my PSN account and then just not actually...playing them even though they're easy trophies. But thank you!! I'll try to get at least one of those done this summer, especially since I've got several games on pre-order (and am expecting No Man's Sky to be a time sink). My summer backlog games should be quick, so I should have time to get several other plats.
