This was also the only version in which I had trouble getting Pure Bladestone to drop (it took maybe an hour in the other two but literally 12 hours in this one). #50, Trophy #4966: Dark Souls September 3, 2016 Recommend: YES This one might be my longest platinum yet (my first trophy was back in 2013). If not it's certainly high up there. I did a Strength/Int build with Demon's Greataxe + Crystal Magic Weapon and crushed literally everything #51, Trophy #4968: Dark Souls II (PS3) September 3, 2016 Recommend: YES I actually played this version second, and despite the quality downgrade and lack of DLC I still had a blast. I did a Strength/Faith build with the Vanquisher's Seal and pummeled everything with my big meaty claws #52, Trophy #4970: Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (PS4) September 3, 2016 Recommend: YES My first experience with Dark Souls II-- Forest of Fallen Giants killed me so many times I got scared and ran through the whole game with a generic quality build (the only game in which I've used one) #53, Trophy #4972: Dark Souls III September 3, 2016 Recommend: meh "Guys what if we made another Dark Souls but instead of a world we had a straight line" -someone at From Software, probably Gives me conniptions. #54, Trophy #4974: Minecraft Story Mode September 3, 2016 Recommend: meh I expected this game to be offensively bad, but it had some legitimately neat moments (the mob grinder and the farlands to name a few). It's far from Telltale's best, but not their worst either. I just wish episodes 7 and 8 were included with the original disc copy so I could get the 100% without spending more on it. From a newbie to the series it seemed like a stock, unremarkable point & click #62, Trophy #4991: Life is Strange (PS4) September 3, 2016 Recommend: YES A game that builds upon the stale Telltale formula by adding a much-needed rewind mechanic #63, Trophy #4998: Zero Time Dilemma September 3, 2016 Recommend: meh A meh conclusion to a series I have minimal experience with. The escape the room puzzles were fun but they stopped about 3/4 through #64, Trophy #5000: Transistor September 3, 2016 Recommend: YES Trophy #5000, plat #64 (a power of 2), and the 20th and final plat of my 20th birthday marathon had to go to none other than Transistor, Supergiant's second game after Bastion and my favorite game of all time. I believe I decided I wanted to do this around the time I finished Salt & Sanctuary (so at the end of April around 3000 trophies), so my summer was spent working hard to almost double my trophy count of 3 years. This is my proudest gaming accomplishment and it could not have been more worth it. #65, Trophy #5002: Back to the Future: The Game (PS4) September 4, 2016 Recommend: YES Where do you go after something like that? Took me out of my comfort zone at least. Also I'm just now looking closely at this platinum image, and it actually looks really good. The only interesting thing in it was the shitty air hockey minigame, and I hate minigames. :platinum: #97, Trophy #6102: The Witness January 7, 2017 Recommend: meh Frankly I expected better from Jonathan Blow. In particular what bothered me was the amount of puzzles that would be impossible for deaf or colorblind people to solve. I'm neither, but I generally play games without sound and if I didn't use a guide I would never have realized I was missing such a key piece of information. I guess that's my karma for using the exploit with the Vita version. Plats #101-120: Spoiler :platinum: #101, Trophy #6237: Tearaway January 11, 2017 Recommend: YES Very good game, very annoying trophy list. My favorite part was how whenever I took a picture with the in-game camera, my Vita would make a loud shutter sound (even when the volume was muted and headphones were in). Thanks for being creepy, Japan. :platinum: #102, Trophy #6288: Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (PS4) January 14, 2017 Recommend: YES Exact same game as the Vita version, and just as easy a trophy list. I decided to pick this up physically in part to support Wayforward and in part to get my hands on the delicious nutritious OST. I might not even go for the stack because of how mind-numbingly boring it was. Maybe in a few years when I've forgotten enough for it to be interesting again. :platinum: #109, Trophy #6603: Saints Row: Gat out of Hell (PS4) February 23, 2017 Recommend: meh I've never played a game with as satisfying flight mechanics as this one, but unfortunately that's coupled with boring pretty much everything else. If the movement mechanics weren't as fun there's no chance I'd have stuck through to the plat. I wanted to make plat #109 be The Binding of Isaac because memes but after over 1000 hours of it across other platforms I just couldn't make myself care any more. :platinum: #110, Trophy #6618: Adam's Venture Origins February 24, 2017 Recommend: NO Wow this game is just all-around bad. This game is the exception. It's like an hour long tops. :platinum: #112, Trophy #6673: Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart March 2, 2017 Recommend: YES It's a hidden object game so if you're looking for a core gaming experience you're out of luck here. IMO it's the perfect length for what it is (contrast with The Little Acre above), it takes somewhere between an hour to an hour and a half to rush through if you know exactly what you're doing. In particular what bothered me was the amount of puzzles that would be impossible for deaf or colorblind people to solve. I'm neither, but I generally play games without sound and if I didn't use a guide I would never have realized I was missing such a key piece of information. IMO it's the perfect length for what it is (contrast with The Little Acre above), it takes somewhere between an hour to an hour and a half to rush through if you know exactly what you're doing.
