Best Lesser-Known Indie Games

These are my top 3 favourite indie games for the PS4. I'll let you guys decide on how well known they are but I very highly recommend all 3 games.

Salt & Sanctuary by Ska Studios.

2D side scroller in the veil of Dark Souls. Dev team consists of a husband & wife team (Michelle & James Silva, both very active on Twitter & fantastic with their fans). Previous games by them include the Dishwasher series & Charlie Murder.

Rogue Legacy by Cellar Door Games.

Single life class based (you retain all levels & equipment on death but have to pick a new character & class each life from of 3 randomly offered you) roguelike dungeon crawler.

Axiom Verge by Tom Happ.

The best Metroidvania game since Nintendo & Konami gave up on side scrollers. The game took 5 years to make & was made by a single person.

I love flywrench, which is made by the same guys who made nidhogg.  It's a difficult super meat boy esq game.

Amazing call here. Flywrench is a classic

I don't have too many to mention that are on PS4 so I'll just say Lithium because it's weird and surreal and difficult. Check it out, it's goofy.

FINAL FANTASY XV!!.. ha I kid..

Umm, I actually enjoyed (although I suck at it) We Are Doomed for Ps4. Very fast paced and Arcade-like gameplay. Oceanhorn:

Monster of Uncharted Seas is a nice Zelda-esc style game (quite easy Platinum I think too, playing through it slowly myself) - Ps4.

Exile's End is a pretty decent Metroidvania style game. (Ps4/Vita)

Black & White Bushido is a fun easy Platinum for up to 4 players (Ps4).

Hopiko is a fast paced, kind of Meat Boy-esc game for Ps4 - quite hard too.

Dear Esther or Ether One are good 'walking simulator' games, on Ps4 too. Very narrative based but still a good time :)

(Just a few off the top of my head)
