Online dead already?

I've just purchased this game as i loved the original, went straight online as soon as it booted and I've not seen a single game created and no one has joined my games either.

 

I'm just wondering as title says, Is the online really dead already? or is something wrong at my/rebellions end?

I love Rebellion and never played this game before, I'll be grabbing it on Switch whenever it goes on sale, but yeah dude. I don't think anyone bought it. It's a re-release of an old game from two generations ago that barely anyone played then. I hope it will find an audience, as I do any game worthwhile, but I doubt it will somehow. Guess whatever trophies there are for online will need be boosted.

Just an update:

 

The online is still working at present, my friends and I have been playing it since it was on sale on the store. It can be a bit slow for some, yep of us tried hosting and it was a little bit laggy, but the other two hosts had no problems. The online is very fun, but alas, far too short imo. 😢
