Reading Magazine question

I've just played my first playthrough and picked up as many magazines I could.

 

Some of these I never turned around to look at the back, but I did read the front.

 

Does it also count towards the bookworm trophy if you read all the magazines from the extras menu?

All you need to do is pick up the magazines and the stories will unlock. The extras menu is a list of the stories you've already found. The trophy unlocks once you find your last magazine.

Ok cheers,  it's just that I've read that you have to read them front and back so was worried I may have screwed the trophy up.

I don't believe you do need to read them front to back, but some magazines are tied to certain choices in the story, so you wouldn't be able to get them all in a single run anyway

When you collect the magazines, you have to swipe through the whole mag because some have 2 different stories and they are counted as separate collectibles.

 

Reading them in the extras menu won't make them count because magazines you miss won't be there.

Each magazine has two stories, and both of them count for the trophy. You don't have to read through, taking a look at both covers should be fine. Once you take a look at the covers, it will be unlocked in the extra.
