Update???

So I've seen that some people managed to platinum this game... and I sincerely doubt that Konami has released an update that fixed all the problems that lies within the mist of this HD collection...

 

...but I have to ask the stupid question ever. Has it been fixed? I doubt I would have the patience to go through a glitchy game but I would love to add a Silent Hill platinum to my trophy cabinet so for those who have plat'd it, how did you do it? The guide doesn't mention anything to avoid any potential glitches.

I don't recall encountering any glitches during my playthrough. I played it via PS Now, so I'm not sure if that might be why.

Almost 4k people have the platinum, not exactly rare. It's a 3/10 difficulty, 10 hr platinum. Just follow the guide and play the game?

I don't recall having issues with Silent Hill 3, maybe the fog is not like the one in the PS2 version. I had one issue with Silent Hill 2 though, the game froze on me once, fortunately it wasn't during my 10-stars run.

to answer your question OP the only thing to look out for during a speedrun of SH3 for the platinum is that the game can occasionaly crash. other than that i dont really recall any other problems playing it other than its a crap port.

 

SH2 on the other hand is a real mess as alot of things can mess up your 10 star run in terms of crashes/lock-ups.
