This trophy is much, much easier than it sounds. Simply start a multiplayer game and choose a character. Then hold the PS Button and switch users, signing in as a 'guest' and choose a second character. Repeat until you have all four players, three of which will be guests.  

 this dosent work for me wont let me select more characters anyone know why? when i sign into guests it just puts them as player 1

i also need help with this trophy, can someone please explain how this is done on a PS5 while playing the game on "ps now" also with only two controllers. i can manage to connect 2 players only. The usual method will not allow me to stay logged in,

This trick doesn't work at all on the PS5 so unless you either have a PS4 handy or 4 controllers, you won't be able to get it .

Thank you i got it by using my old ps4 slim console with one controller and i can confirm you can do it with ps now.

Used two ps5 controllers and 2 ps4 controllers (on ps5) - worked easily, but guide should be updated.
