atoy2000
Recently I traded in my ps4 for a ps4 pro. My old ps4 connected to my wifi perfectly fine. The ps4 pro kept dropping the internet connection every 5 minutes. I went and exchanged it for a new ps4 pro, and I am still having the same issues. I keep lagging out of parties and games, and keep getting disconnected from my wifi. I tried forwarding ports, setting up a dmz, restarting my router, none of which have helped. It is not possible to hardwire it to my router, because my playstation is a floor down. It is in the exact same location as my original ps4, which had no connection issues. Any help would be appreciated.
DARKB1KE
PS4Pro uses a different bandwidth of wifi as I understand it. I'm surprised you replaced the ps4 pro with another one, instead of just googling. No amount of replacing systems is going to fix it. source: google https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=ps4+pro+wifihttps://twinfinite.net/2016/11/ps4-pro-wifi-connection-better/ https://www.reddit.com/r/PS4Pro/comments/7yhbx0/5ghz_wifi_is_trash_on_the_ps4_pro/ Edited April 22, 2019 by DARKB1KE

Never liked wifi.

Guardian_owl
How old is your wireless router? I had the same one for many, many many years since it worked OK for browsing and hadn't broken down. I had the problem of the connection periodically dropping on my tablet and slower download speeds on my PS3/PS4 Pro. So after purchasing a Roku stick and having the connection to it be not that great, I decided to buy a new wireless router since my old one was several wireless standards behind. Got a TP-link AC1750 (which wasn't that much money), hooked it up and now no more connection issues to the ipad, roku stick, and very fast downloads on the PS4 Pro.
MidnightDragon
I had this issue on a slim about six weeks ago. Played with the settings until something stuck. Has worked so far. Edited March 21, 2022 by MidnightDragon
