gta online problem please help

I am having real problema getting online. Every time I try the game automatically puts me into what appears to be a car race then I either get a messaage saying waiting for other players or loading session. I can't get out of this screen unless I quit the game. Am I doing something wrong or is the game not working properly?

The online just recently came out so stuff like this is expected to happen. Just wait it out until it is fixed.

You should start praying to some form of god that your character doesn't get deleted. Should just wait until tomorrow when they release the patch

I've had 4 characters deleted, my last guy was level 7 and he got deleted yesterday, you think you have a problem with the car race, I keep getting fucked rockstar
