It's easy to be cynical and say "Well, people die of cancer every day what makes this guy so special? Its just a way to get people to spend money." but it is even easier to just do fuck all and not get that critical response. All I have to say is, fair play Gearbox. Fair play. Doesn't seem like they are trying to gain anything from it... I for one would be honored by the request and it sounds like they were also... anyone who speaks ill about it cant see past their nose... Sly Ripper Posted November 5, 2011 Share Posted November 5, 2011 Gearbox has made some bad PR moves, especially concerning Duke Nukem, but this one is classy. It's hardly a PR move when someone requested it privately. Shortly after Carlo emailed Gearbox, he received a touching audio response and a promise from developers that Michael will be included as an NPC in Borderlands 2. This morning, we received an email from a Destructoid fan named Carlo who shared a story about his late friend Michael John Mamaril.
