Just to add few things.

Perception mastery - do not bother catching every crate during the game, unless you really need cash to buy something, as there is a mission during last chapter when you will have to grab 6 crates for a blessed disciple. It will be over 6k per lap. After getting the last crate just reload the checkpoint and get another 6k. Repeat as many times as you want.

And for the Mastery of Combat looks like game saves the unlocked masteries during last fight after PNR even though they are reset to the state before the fight.
I had two missing masteries before last fight. Getting health from enemies and kills while boosting. I got the first one to LVL5 during the last battle and got the second to LVL4. After ending I got back to PNR and in my masteries I've got again health at LVL3 and boosting kills at LVL3. So I came back to other sectors to level up boosting kills and after getting it to LVL5 *ding* trophy popped. So even if you can't make all missing masteries at one go during last mission just focus on those which wasn't mastered at all. Trophy should pop.

I've just picked up the game and I'm already enjoying it, the gameplay feels fresher and different from any other game I've played in a while so it'll be a fun game to trophy hunt on and I've been meaning to get into it for a while now as well.

Would like to add a few spots for anyone else looking for checkpoint farming as they go through the game and they find this thread. I was worried about not being able to get everything prior to endgame so I did some things ASAP to avoid the worry and headache of aiming for various masteries as I played since playing these specific ways during the game until you meet the requirements is kind of tiring to keep remembering to do.

Don't worry about Booster, Drifting, Destroyer, or Gatling Gun as they will all come naturally. They are pretty much free. Senses (The one for collecting Credits boxes) will also come naturally as long as you press X every few seconds to scan your surroundings and go to any upside-down triangle you see. I had it maxed out before I even touched Nimika Prime, there is way more than enough to get you by. They also don't put any boxes way out on the outskirts of the maps or on smaller rock formations, it's just bigger rock formations, side quest areas, anything unique looking (Cities, mining lasers, outposts, random rock formations), and near big objects.

Note: If you are going for Perfect Dodge you need to drop your difficulty if you are on Extreme and possibly even Hard. I was trying it for like a solid hour on two separate Valkyries since the charge attacks on enemies started happening and only got 3/5 perfect dodges despite getting the slowdown on the X. If you did it right you get a longer slowdown than if you dodged on the end of the O part of the attack and that's what counts. If you play on Extreme you have maybe like two frames at the end of the X to dodge for it to count and it was borderline impossible to hit it no matter how hard I was trying. I'm pretty sure the three times it did were complete flukes. As soon as I swapped to Easy I instantly got four perfect dodges in a row doing the exact same timing I was on Extreme.

Once you gain Forsa and the Drift Trance rite you will leave the area and end up fighting a lone Valkyrie. As long as it has its shield up it won't shoot you, so just go to the opposite of where it was and then turn around to face it, tapping R2 on your Gatling gun so its shield doesn't break. You can get the 400 mine destructions you need for Defuse in about 20 minutes and if it loses its shield just reload your checkpoint.

If you missed this another good place to do it is when you're going after the Queen for the pirates. As long as you stay close enough she'll keep spamming mines and unless you shoot her specifically the other ships shouldn't start spawning. This is a bit more annoying because she'll sometimes scream due to the Faceless' words and explode which can insta-kill you on Extreme (Not sure on lower difficulties), but you get like six or even eight mines at times.

There's also some Faceless enemies later on who shield enemies that spam like six to the eight laser mines at times and they usually spawn two to a random encounter, but you have to constantly be dodging them as they keep shooting.

After you've gained Forsa but before you use the Rift Gate to head to Stega Rim there's a side quest somewhere near The Enclave; I want to say Tirak Haven or maybe Asirik Outpost. It's the one where you're asked to protect a bunch of families from some Circle waves of attackers and Nora keeps talking about how they have no defenses at all. This is the perfect one for farming Reckless in a safe manner. Just note that the green orb drops are completely random and you're not guaranteed them even if you get a kill at below 40%. It feels like it's maybe a 20% drop rate per kill on Extreme but I'm sure it's higher on lower difficulties.

When you reset the checkpoint it should start you in the middle of a dual-ringed structure. If you immediately boost into the flat wall in the inner circle structure ahead of you, immediately turn around and slam into that wall, then turn around again and slam into the initial wall you should be below the 40% health threshold for health drops to start spawning. If you feel like you're still too high, just boost into a wall at an angle with L2 and take chip damage until you feel like you're at a good point. Keep in mind that enemies can't even hit you if you're holding L2 even if you're stationary flying in a straight line into a wall, it's only when you let go of it or drift for too long that they can finally hit you.

With your health finally at 40% or below you'll be able to fight the enemies now. They come in four waves but you only want to kill two waves fully and leave one in the third wave otherwise you can't farm the checkpoint.

  • Wave 1 - Three unarmored Circle ships.
  • Wave 2 - Three shielded Circle ships.
  • Wave 3 - Two unarmored Circle ships in one direction and two shielded Circle ships in the other direction.

You can get around 1-3 pickups if you're lucky enough this way and there's no high tier enemies or turrets at all, just basic ships.

Once you gain the Rite of the Hunt you will escape the ghost things and then be at the exit of the area with two shielded ships and three normal ships. This is where I'd recommend you farm Laser Cannon's 150 shield breaks and Apex Predator's 40 triple kills. As soon as you reload the checkpoint you will be immediately facing a shielded ship and have full lasers, so you can shoot that guy with your laser and if you warp to him it places you behind him for an easy kill while setting you up with either the three low tier ships coming after you or the other shielded one directly in front of you. You have more than enough time to get your triple kill after the first kill. This is also a great place for getting some Drifting, Booster, Hunter, Gatling Gun, and Destroyer progress but you're strictly here for Apex Predator and Laser Cannon since the rest come fairly naturally. Once you start fighting Faceless ships later on you'll have to deal with a lot of shields so if you want to keep that for later you can also do that, it's just easier to do here at the same time.

During the main story mission Gateway to Freedom you have to attack an area after escorting a ship and destroy a bunch of stuff with a 1 minute 30 second time limit. This is after you do the three objectives from Ree's informant in the Stega Rim. On your left and right from where you spawn at the checkpoint there are armored turrets near the upper portion of the structure on both sides of the structure. This means you can get four kills of progress for your Missile Launcher every restart and also get Drifting or Booster while you're at it.

Once you destroy all the pylons you can then leave the one Valkyrie alive as you kill the stragglers and it'll fire charged shots at you as long as you are far enough away from it for Perfect Dodge.

In the main story mission Forsaken Origins you have to go into a wormhole and learn a bit about Forsa. Once you learn more you will gain your lightning hull upgrade and have to chase a ship for a bit. Once you do you'll then have a defense mission happen and this is the best place to do both Storm and Crash Landing as there are countless lightning clouds around for free energy and the main combat arena has tons of things you can fling the lower tier ships chasing you into, particularly the center area you're defending near. You can also get yourself Missile Launcher here and Perfect Dodge if you didn't get them in the Gateway to Freedom mission as you will have two Valkyries spawn in addition to four unarmored ships. Kill at least one of the Valkyries before you start trying to Rite of the Storm the ships into the buildings or normally, otherwise you're gonna have a bunch of lasers on you as you try doing it.

If you don't care about Missile Launcher then after killing the first wave of enemies you will have around 6-8 Faceless enemies spawn, all shielded, with two of them being the ones that spawn laser mines and shield the other enemies. Make sure you revert checkpoint once you beat them as clearing the second wave completes the mission.

Like was said before, Trapped Troops which is part of the main story to find Admiral Kardoh's ships is also perfectly fine for getting Perfect Dodge since you have free reign to dodge the sole sniper turret in the area.

After you gain the Rite of the Star you're led to the next story mission called The Heart. During this quest you're tasked with destroying three separate areas; one side being shooting blisters, one side with you shooting Regrowth Crystals as turrets shoot at you so you can shoot blisters, and one side having you take out a power supply so you can fly into a cave system. If you go to this third one and reload your checkpoint you will be in between a fairly large structure on your left and an icy rock with a three-legged machine sticking out out on your right. If you fly to the right of the bend on the left-most leg on that machine on the rock and then start using Rite of the Star when you see the health bars appear you will instantly kill two ships and then you can also ram into the turret on the right wall. This nets you one double kill and three kills each time you reload the checkpoint making it easy to get Star and Ablaze.

Alternatively, you can continue to Nimika Prime and do the side quest Meda's Curse to get a buff that causes Rite of the Star to have its hitbox doubled making it way easier to kill enemies and hit two of them at the same time. Although, after this point it's not as easy to find missions to reload the checkpoint in reliably. The plus side is that you have access to the Crystal Efficiency IV ship mod which makes all Rites cost 1 less energy and the Faceless Rifts should have started spawning allowing you to easily gain more energy slots on top of that.

A Heated Debate which is a side quest that unlocks after you first meet Awaan in Nimika Prime has six enemies you can very easily ram into and then reload your save on, but the downside of reloading your checkpoint means you have to fly to the area where the ships spawn in the first place. You can also wait a bit after Forsa derides Nara about her neutrality for another wave to spawn to get another four normal kills if you want, then just leave the Valkyrie alive and restart the checkpoint. If you decide against that, the end of the the same side quest has one of those giant ships that infinitely spawn enemies spawn. As long as you destroy the turrets you can very easily farm the two ships that keep respawning if you'd like but it's pretty slow.

During the mission Ancient Ritual which is the main story mission at The Heart after you find all three tablets you will gain the Rite of Control. After you obtain it you will have to throw some ships for a minute or two and then watch a memory. In the room after the memory you can then begin to farm the Faceless that spawn. There are two spawns with groups of three ships and they're all those slow square shielding ships which makes hitting the other ships a cinch. As long as you don't touch the memory that spawn after you destroy the sixth ship you are fine grinding both Control and Collision Course out in this room just fine. Something to keep in mind is that for some reason if you kill the second group of Faceless too quickly it won't count, so after they spawn and you grab them you should wait like two seconds before you throw them at the other ship and the wall respectively.

The Point of No Return is the main story quest Call to Chorus after you return to Nimika Prime having gained the Rite of Control. Forsa will specifically say "If there is anything else, better do it now." and when you interact with what you need to it will zoom you out, give you a message saying it's the finale, and ask one last time if you want to continue. Everything after this point doesn't save, so if you want a 100% complete save file you have to grind random encounters when traveling through space if you have no side quests left. If you just want the trophies you can checkpoint farm the stuff past the point of no return.

  • The first section has a lot of enemies but they only begin infinitely spawning in the second half of it. The problem is that you have to defend some ships with health bars that drain pretty quickly during this portion so you'll need to checkpoint farm in the second half if you want to farm those enemies.
  • The second section has a lot of big ships and at best the main target of the level will spawn maybe two or four ships every 30 or so seconds once you take about half the objectives out so it's not exactly great.
  • The third section is the end of the game and has no ships you can farm.
