Chorus Trophy guide (lite version)

Thanks for the mini guide. Overall I'm liking this list as I don't feel compelled to pay too close attention to what I'm doing since most everything is coming naturally. The game isn't entirely glitch free. When I was playing the mission where you get the laser weapon the containers you need to ping didn't populate in my game until I relaunched the game. Not too bad of a glitch but I did waste ten minutes looking around before I realized I was experiencing a glitch.

Thank you so very much for making this lite trophy guide ?? I appreciate that so much and it's great to see that it's not very hard. I have been wanting a space game like this that's not insanely hard or really time-consuming for a long time.

My only concern before starting is that I have the PS 4 version and according to what I saw with the two PS 4 trophy lists of Chorus no one has gotten all the trophies yet so I'm worried if there are any bugged and unobtainable trophies on the PS 4 version ?

I haven't come across any PS4/PS5 bugged trophies threads while checking some trophies while I was playing (lack of any info made me write up this 'lite' version). Game ran flawless for me on PS5 with no bugs, glitches, delayed trophies or anything similar.

The game is really fun, I put it on hard once I upgraded my ship to keep it challenging but no bs (for example Kena Master difficulty was bs)

If you don't have a lot of time it's easy to pick up, drop, and return depending on when you can play and most trophies come naturally - just focus on fulfilling mastery requirements when you get the chance but even the grindiest kills, dodges, or mines don't take more than ~20mins if you focus on them.

As far as i can tell there is no missable trophies, some require side quests to be done (either for the weapon or for the trophy itself)

The level 3 laser trophy is from the sidequest with recusing the trainees from Nimika and the gas missles are from a sidequest in Nimika (both quests are started in that zone)

The final mission is a good farming spot for any of the mastery trophies. The left side of the gate is good for kills (there is three enemies that are easy to kill and infinity respawn) and a laser for the perfect dodges. The right side has a turret that spawns mines. If you ever kill a turret you need to farm just die and restart.

Fun game and fun platinum. I could feel it being a budget title but I hope it sells well and they can do a full fledged sequel as the space combat is just so much fun.

I ran into a trophy glitch on the ps5. If you use the activity cards to start the game from the ps5 menu they appear to disable trophies for that play session. Quitting the game and starting the regular way will fix this but you will need to load an older save and replay missions or grind any trophies that didn’t pop.

Interesting. I have the problem, that i don´t get any trophies even when i arleady fullfiled all the tasks, like get the rocket launcher, win a race, or 5 side quests.  I finished more then 15 now. Do i have to restart the game now?

Edit: Started the game normally and loaded a manual save and i got all trophies that i shlould get until this point. thx for this hint @PantaloonTyphoon

What you need :) its easy game. Without missable

Hi!

After reading the lite guide, it felt just alright. I was taking my time to read first if there is an available guide, i just didn't look into forums.

I'm halfway done but I'm also taking some time to complete the trophies particularly the Masteries.

Once again, thanks!

I'm one trophy away from Platinum. Unfortunately, I have already finished almost all of the side missions and I have 4 Combat Masteries to fulfill.

1. Defuse on Level 3

2. Perfect Dodge on Level 3

3. Drifting on Level 4

4. Booster on Level 3

I managed to complete 2 out of 4 ( Defuse & Drifting) during the final mission. Unknowingly, the applicable progress trophy for PS5 won't count towards the end (i.e. 2/6) , as it has no "Save Game" feature during the final mish.

So I have to re-run the final mish for the ? Mastery of Combat, and deliberately re-load the last checkpoint before proceeding to the end game.

There is no post-game free roam, you will be returned to just prior to the mission and if you complete the final mission again this won't count towards you stats. You can however just enter the mission and farm certain enemies until you pop the trophy.

Am I set in front of the last main mission or directly into?

So, if I miss the side quest for the level 3 laser by any chance, can I get this afterwards or am I stuck into the last mission without no way out?

If I remember correctly it will be directly before, and you can farm during the final mission however after 're-beating' the game your stats reset.

So you have to complete all requirements before beating the game.

If you have 10/15 on something you can farm it out during the final mission. However if you reach 13/15 and beat the game it will set you back prior to the last mission with 10/15 again.

Almost finished the game (better late than never). Thanks for your answer. Yeah basically nothing missable and a great game.

Thank you for the guide buddy.  I've been working on the perfect dodge mastery for a bit, and learned that it's worth changing your difficulty to Extreme to make the turret more aggressive.  It hurts a lot more if you get hit, but it can reduce the amount of time you spend on it because of the increase in fire rate

Given the current lack of information I wanted to share a small overview of the game and the stuff required for platinum, I'm sorry I don't have the time to create a fully fledged guide however the platinum here is quite straightforward. Possible minor spoilers below.

Farming kills/masteries - this goes into detail later but you should know that the game tracks your actions as you do them, so you can use and abuse the checkpoint system when farming certain actions. Example - if you find yourself against a large number of infinitely spawning small enemies with an objective to destroy a larger ship you can just keep farming the smaller ones for what you need and the game won't progress - or if you found a good group to farm you can get all of them except 1 and then reset checkpoint and your stats will carry over.

Difficulty: 3/10

Time to platinum 20-30 hrs (depending on the amount of side content you do and how quickly you farm certain masteries)

I took it slow and finished the game 100% doing all the side content as it became available and I wrapped it up in under 30 hours.

No trophies are glitched and you can play the entire game on easy.

There is no post-game free roam or NG+ at this time and while you can use the checkpoint system on the last mission as a last resort it is recommended to get mastery trophies out of the way as you play.

Automatic story unlocks

Nearly half of the list will come naturally through following the story, following the list everything from Another life to Rise as one is a story unlock.

Completion/Side mission related trophies

Helping hand - 5 side missions, will come naturally

Paragon - 35 side missions, again - naturally, there are far more than 35. For me doing it as I go it unlocked around half-way through the game

Relentless - the race is one of the side missions in the first area Stigma Center, a worried father will ask to check on his kids who will challenge you to an easy race you have to win. Available right off the start even before you get your ship

Voices from the past - find 25 memories, this will come naturally I think there are at least 25 memories that you have to interact with to finish the story but they are otherwise spread out everywhere. While focusing on collecting everything and clearing areas in my run I've found 25 long before the game half-way point.

The great destroyer - 75 kills with Spirit class ship, this is a larger battleship you periodically take control in the game through main and side mission that is slow and has a bunch of turrets you control. You should reach 75 kills naturally as there are several missions where it is featured but you can get them out of the way by checkpoint reset and farming the same enemies - just to be sure.

Miscellaneous

Phoenix - activate the repair drone with less than 10% health. You will get the repair drone very early on after acquiring your ship (Forsa) simply take damage or crash until you have little health left and activate the repair drone

Radiation area - kill 3 enemies with Tier 3 missile radiation cloud. The missiles in question are the Poisoned Spear, you can acquire them from a side mission in the final sector (Nimika). To the left of the jump gate you use to enter the area is another jumpgate, near it there will be a side mission where you control a Spirit class and escort some allies which will give you the weapon as a reward. It's an area of effect weapon, quite powerful and easy to get kills - simply shoot an enemy (or turret) and they will suffer damage over time if that destroys/kills them it counts.

Controlled demolition - kill an armored enemy with a gatling gun. You will encounter hundreds of armored enemies (their health bar is yellow) which are usually to be knocked out with missiles. Simply destroy one with your gatling guns instead.

Overcharged - Overcharge your energy bar by using the Tier 3 laser weapon, the weapon in question is a side mission reward. In the final Nimika sector as you follow the story you will meet Anwaan (older black 'Guardian', your former mentor) and he will give you main missions for the rest of the game. After meeting him through a main story mission a side mission will open where he will ask you to check on his disciples/candidates in training. This will take place in Nimika and the Circle sector with floating ice mountains Tinnuk(?). After you complete this side mission line you will receive this powerful laser. Simply kill an enemy with it and it will leave a cloud (similar to purple Rite overcharge clouds) you can collect to boost your energy. Done easily on any smaller enemy, especially Faceless.

At least you tried - die in permadeath, permadeath is an option you can engage when starting the game. Simply start in permadeath mode and crash your ship into something as soon as you start the game to obtain this trophy.

Masteries and mastery related trophies

There are 3 mastery trophies for Combat, Rites, and Weapons and associated following trophies: Born to drift, Showoff, Huntress, Two birds, It was an accident, and Crash test.

I will not go into details of the individual trophies as you will inevitably get them doing the masteries. Masteries require you to complete certain tasks on increasing number of enemies/iterations for various bonuses related to that action. You will naturally do a fair bit of everything required but nowhere near the LV5 required so - focus on them as you get them, farm favorable encounters via checkpoint reset and get them out of the way early.

You will obviously have to progress into the story to unlock additional weapons and rites but before you can work on the starting ones. Most are straightforward i.e. kills boosting, kills drifting... but some are less frequent than others. Below are some I found noteworthy to mentioned to focus. Rite ones are also quite easy since these abilities are OP as all hell - you can also equip ship boosters to boost your energy and regen to just spam Rite abilities.

Missile/Laser - missiles more than lasers as these enemies are less frequent however if you romp through the game on easy you'll be very much able to wreck everyone just with your Rites and guns so keep a mental note to complete the requirements for these secondary weapons as well when you get the chance. You can restart checkpoint in missions where you face 2 or 3 armored enemies you can farm.

Defuse - destroy mines, total is 400. There are several locations to farm this (there is also a mine cannon in the final mission) my personal choice was on the main mission to liberate the jump gate (Citadel) at Stega Rim. At the end of this mission an enemy 'Vulture' ship will appear. Do not attack it as it will change the attack pattern, while full health and shields it will just spam mines at you instead of moving or firing simply fly around and blow them up - it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to get all necessary and you can also checkpoint reset if you mess up.

Dodge - perfect dodge is when an orange/red laser targets you and just as it's about to hit you need to roll (you have to be moving to be able to roll) away and dodge. My choice for this would be a mission where you need to free 4 ships for captain Aystan (?) as part of a story mission. You will here be introduced to the sniping turret which fires this exact laser at you. This should be in Amarok sector. There is no other enemies until you 'free' the first ship so simply fly around the turret, it will shoot at you every couple of seconds and dodge until you fill the requirement. Plenty of space and no danger so perfect spot for this I went from 1 to 150 in about 20 mins.

Reckless(?) - this one requires you to heal your ship with pick ups. Health pickups are green orbs that will be automatically dropped by enemies if your health is around 40% or lower. They will not drop it otherwise. If you are playing the game on easy, and even on normal with some upgrades you will likely be OP already so this is 'easy' to miss. To ensure this in the beginning against low-level enemies just crash or let them hurt you and they destroy them - they will drop the green health pickups you need to heal yourself with.

There is no post-game free roam, you will be returned to just prior to the mission and if you complete the final mission again this won't count towards you stats. You can however just enter the mission and farm certain enemies until you pop the trophy. But if you're doing a more or less completionist run there is plenty of opportunity to wrap up everything before the last mission. If all else fails or you find it too difficult there are several Havens (space stations) you will need to liberate by destroying Circle pylons (enemy mind control). There will usually be one or two pairs of enemy fighter launchers - these are two small yellow circles about the size of the turret that will keep spawning one or two smallest enemy fighters until destroyed. if you've cleared everything else except the pylons you can easily deal with one or two fighters at the time with no other threats for particular annoying Rite or Combat trophies.

All in all, fun game from my side - solid 7/10. And sad to notice such a basic thing but I commend the devs on releasing a game that is platinum-able with no crashes or glitches in 30 hrs on PS5 and no apparent need for patching or fixing.

Huge thanks for this lite guide, as it saved me in many of the masteries grinds (especially on the dodge one).

Btw I was considering writing a guide, even though the game is indeed quite straightforward; if I ever do that, would you mind if I used part of your lite  guide obviously by crediting you?

Such a hidden gem imo. The story was a great addition to the fun combat. If you're struggling on boost/drift kills, I'd recommend using the spirit ships. There's a mission close to the end of the game where enemies respond rapidly in one spot. I got all my drift and boost kills done in like 10 mins. About 200 kills each. There's like 5 enemies that respond over and over.

My total plat time was about 18hrs. I didn't have issues finishing everything besides the final rite on the last mission, which you can't really do beforehand anyway.
