Looks quite different from the first (assuming the last bit is gameplay), but eh, I trust the studio! Let's just hope it also makes it to PS4/5

I liked the first game but this seems very different. I assume the five silhouettes at the end means there is some sort of co-op/multiplayer where you pick a character. The footage at the end has a strange almost Borderlands feel. I guess we'll see in a year.

 

This also reminds me I still need to plat Hyper Light Drifter at some point. ?

At this point I might as well assume every game will be a roguelite/like.

Looked to me, based on the last few seconds of the video showing pre-alpha footage, like it's probably being developed on the same engine as Solar Ash.

 

I'd also think that it'll maintain the same core gameplay as HLD, just in a 3D environment.

 

From the official YouTube channel:

"Hyper Light Breaker is a new 3D co-op adventure set in the beloved Hyper Light universe..."

 

Should be interesting to not only be co-op, but have the choice of what seems to be 4 different characters to play as. Definitely looking forward to it, but a Playstation release is probably far off considering they state "early access Spring 2023"

It's heart-warming to see they are already working on their third project. HLD is nothing short of a fantastic game and I cannot wait to get my hands on HLB. 

 

Also.. the music, man freaking awesome.
