Started playing Crystal Defenders pretty much right after joining this as a result of joining this Project Platinum and got to 100% today. It's my first tower defense game ever and it was a fun experience. It wasn't too hard for a beginner to get into and make good progress and it was good to see Final Fantasy classes again. The PS3 graphics are still alright in 2022 on a 4k screen. Not sure I'll play more tower defense in the future, but at least I can say I played it once. Now I kinda want to go back to an Ivalice game and explore the world once more.

I think I'm done with the PS3 games for this Project Platinum as well.

That's 14 games done, only one more for silver. Should be doable this year.

An update: although I wasn't looking forward to re-completing the 300 missions, Crisis Core wasn't so bad. I just wish Minerva didn't immediately one shot me at 5% after I auto-revived. Green are my plats, red is what I don't have and blue is what I'm working on.

Thanks for the update! Sorry I must have added XIII Enthusiast instead of Spinner but I just corrected it. Also I gave you the JP Only badge :) Fortune Street doesn't count for Close Enough. For now its just Chocobo, Crystal Defenders and Adv of Mana. But Theatrhythm final bar line is gonna be in the optional category so if you don't wanna do Chocobo you can do that one. Congrats on Crisis Core, that was fast!

Have you seen that the pixel remaster ps4 edition is on the SE store?

Pixel Remaster was just announced hours ago, only the physical collector and anniversary editions are available to pre-order for now

And it seems like it will only launch in digital version next spring

Heck yeah man! I preordered my physical PS4 copy the second I saw it! I'm one of the lucky ones that got it before it sold out. Hopefully they do another print of physical copies cause I know a lot of people that are pissed that they sold out so quickly.

I'm considering starting FF XIV. Do trophies autopop between the PS4/PS5 version (both ways)? There's daily content in this game, I think. How much time does it take to clear that and how important is it to keep doing daily quests once I have the related trophies? Is older content still active or can I clear it with NPCs if no one wants to do it?

I know it gets more content and I will probably still play it years from now (if I like it, that is). Anything else I should know before making up my mind?

There is no autopop in XIV, you will need to do one more action that will pop the trophy. If you do 3000 FATEs in PS5 for exemple, you will have to do one more in PS4 to pop the related trophy. (For level trophies you will need to do one thing that gives exp to get the trophies).

Now the big issue is, when this seems almost like an autopop, things like doing X trial or Y raid, you will have to do them again. Fortunately the most difficult ones don't have PS4 trophies so you only need to do them in PS5.

It's a long but great game. Enjoy.

Edit: forgot your last question, all content is active, you will see why, except one which has trophies in both PS4 and Ps5, the binding coil of bahamut. But you should only need help from one person to clear it.

Yazmat already answered your question but I’ll tell you, XIV PS5 is a 10/10 difficulty requiring 1,000hrs+. It requires about as much time as the rest of the series combined so only start it if you’re super serious and really want to and are in a real life situation conducive to such a game. Good luck no matter what choice you make :)

Meaning I'd get the plat on PS4, then play the game again on PS5 and get the trophies a second time by completing one more of the requirements, got it. Thanks.

That's why I'm on the fence, I'm already playing a game that gets frequent updates (Genshin Impact) and am hesitant to add another one that is long and still gets updates.

What about daily content? Is it time consuming?

If it's enjoyable, then I don't mind it. It's not like I spent upwards of 2k hours on a single game several time, no, I'd definitely never do that (Yes, I would, hello Monster Hunter). I already own the game, so I could start anytime.

I would honestly just play on PS5 and just pop the trophies later on PS4.

You don't need to login daily as far as I remember, but some trophies are locked behind daily/weekly caps (Custom Deliveries, Beast Tribes, Levequests...etc)

That's good, thanks.

I have to say, figuring out what exactly I already own on PSN is a mess for FF XIV. I have the game and can download it, but the bundle I bought no longer exists on PSN (not even the page). So I can't look it up and the order confirmation only says I purchased the bundle (FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn™ Collector's Edition bundle), not what's in it. Based on what I can still buy, I should have everything except Endwalker, but I bought it back in 2016, so not sure. Is there any way to know for sure?

My PS5 says I have FF XIV installed and Heavensward. That'd mean I'd be missing Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker, but I can only buy Endbringer. Do Stormblood and Shadowbringers come with Endbringer? If not, no idea how to get those. They are unavailable on PSN in my region unless I buy the Complete Edition, which I can't according to PSN as I already own a different version.

You should check the MogStation instead, it will tell you exactly what you have access to

Endwalker expansion includes the others, you should only buy that then
