Is this sequel?

So there is Astro Playroom for PS5 and ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission for PS VR. Is any of them a sequel or preferred to be played after other one? Which is recommended to be played first?

either can be played, they aint related to each other, id play ASTRO'S PLAYROOM first since you dont have to mess with the PSVR

I just ordered a used PS VR and got PS5 too, so wandering which one is better to be played first

Theoretically you have to play the playroom on ps4 first "canonically" but that game is fixed to ps4s

The games have less story than Mario games. Any order is fine. 

 

There is actually even more Astro prototypes in The Playroom (PS4) and The Playroom VR (PS4). Even less story in these though and I don't think Astro as a character was in the original Playroom. No story to speak of in these games either so they are skippable.

Those games were more like an introduction rather than story. PS4 tells you all about it, PSVR and PS5 same as well. They are more like a show/introduction for the PS4, PSVR and PS5.
