PS3 DLC

I heard that the PS3 Online Store closed in July 2021. 

I'm considering getting a PS3 system to play older games

I'm wondering how can you still get the DLC for some older games like Call of Duty etc

The PS3 and Vita stores were supposed to close but due to the massive backlash, Sony changed their minds and left them open, though they're unstable, buggy and a pain to use these days. Also note that you have to use the official Sony website to create a new PS3 or Vita account since a recent firmware update changed the account creation system.

if the disk version comes with the DLC. Or if you had the DLC's before the store closed.

The PS3 store didn't close, it's still up and running to this day.

While the ps store didn't close on PS3, keep in mind that some stuff gets delisted. Usually you can check on this website for specific games to see what's delisted or not

A lot of stuff has been delisted from the PS3 and Vita stores over the last couple of years, plus many games are now unPlatinumable/un100%able due to mass server closures.

oh. Well to be fair i haven't played on a PS3 for 8 years so i assumed it closed down like they said they will.

The PS3 store is still working but to buy something you have to buy a prepaid card or add funds on the PS4 or PS5, you can't add funds directly to the PS3.

Prepaid cards are toast on PS3, only adding funds works AFAIK.

PSN cards work just fine on a PS3

I have used a PSN card recently and it worked without issue, at least for me.

I thought you meant prepaid cards like Mastercard, Visa and so on, sorry.
