Cant link to PC account

Started up the game, didnt have a prompt to log into a previous account. When in game if i go to link account in the user center it says the email address is already in use.

Have the same issue.Tried everything for the last 2 hrs

All this time and the F up big time with the cross save

Have you tried linking your PSN to your Hoyoverse account via the Hoyoverse website? I was a little concerned when I loaded up and there was no option for data transfer or anything, but when I logged in, Dan Heng was exactly where I left him last night after doing Echoes of War. I figured it's cause my PSN is already linked to Hoyoverse cause I play Genshin too.

I know people have emailed them about it so I'll check after work, I might start again but then I risk not pulling Bronya. Besides her I don't have much to lose besides £5

Is your PSN the same region as the server you played on pc?

Found a solution on the Hoyolabs page. Worked for me

 

For PS5 account link solution :-

1.    ⁠Start PS5 game and it never ask for login box, is okay.

2.    ⁠Play the tutorial up until you can access the menu

3.    ⁠On the menu, go to the settings and find the option to “link account”

4.    ⁠Link the account to a throwaway email (NOT your HSR main account)

5.    ⁠On your PC/phone/laptop, search hoyoverse log in page

6.    ⁠Log into the account you just made with the throwaway email

7.    ⁠There will be a section in the account about linked platforms. This will include the PSN option which should be automatically switched on

8.    Unlink the PSN. It will come up with a warning, just click OK

9.    ⁠Go back to your playstation 5 and restart your game Hongkai Star Rail

10. This time it will prompt to ask if you want to create a new account or sign into an existing one.

11. Log in existing with your HSR account email

12.    ⁠Enjoy

Yeah this was me. I logged in as if it wasn't the first time I'd played on PS5. Must be cause Hoyoverse and PSN are already linked.

Yeah, if you have your Hoyo account linked to your PSN already, everything should be automatic & you'll sign in without having to do a thing.

In case it helps anyone, the issue is fixed & it now asks you if you want to log into an existing account whenever you first load up the game on PS5.
