Wonderbook: Book of Spells - In my backlog since Christmas 2012 my wife was excited to play and we started on the wrong profile - AR still holds up pretty well.

Midnight Suns - My type of game and I enjoyed everything about it

Chivalry II - Fun but buggy mess that stopped tracking my kills trophies. Finally cleaned it up and glad no one reported me for out of sequence trophies 😉

Another one done, this one was pretty quick tbh. Really had fun doing it, especiallly because some aspects of the game changes on hardcore diffiulty, what is quite in games nowadays and , ofc, Slender Man was one of my biggest nightmares when I was a kid. 

Now I'm working on Lara Croft GO and I'm really enjoying this one, I didn't expect it to be that hidden gem, but I'll say more about it when I finish it and update here.

Doing pretty decent progress in comparison to last year. I even created my second tier list!

Completed Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. I liked the game at first, already had 100% on the Free Edition, but grinding for the 300 treasures was almost a torture. It is ridiculously grindy to do it, specially because as I have played before on the other edition and had a high lvl, had to reach lvl 291 to get to the 300 treasures. Glad that the grind is over.

As for The Witness, the most difficult part was to go for the challenge. In general, the puzzles are quite tricky, but the challenge is really what makes this game have such a high difficulty level. Anyway, it is a cool game for everyone into the Puzzle genre, and absolutely recommend it if you want to workout your brain.

I was able to get three trophies this weekend. I've played this series so many times on the PC and I got into it on the GameCube. 

 

So it was clear to me that I would definitely get the platinum trophies in one of my favourite game series. Saturday was the day and I was able to play through Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory and Blacklist to get the last trophies. 

 

Depending on how quickly I play through Call of Duty or Lies of Pi (or rather when I feel like it), I might start a second list.

Because RDR2 will be another project

Another Souls game, only the EU version of Demons left and i have the set.  Wasnt sure i was ever going to go back to DS2 after the massive effort for scholar(and also completed on PC), but after a friend mentioned he was looking at DS2 we decided to get it done before servers close at months end.  This game is so much better with a coop partner, but the checklist you have to go through before getting a successful summon is severe.    A lot of fun and nostalgia on this one, DS2 SOTFS is the first game on my profile back in 2015.

Great choices for your games I finished Evil West for my 6/10 and one big piece of advice I’d like to offer you is don’t ever resume activity on the ps5. The game doesn’t allow you to save manually and the only way it forces itself to save is if you boot the game up the traditional way. Then it can enable auto saving other wise you will lose hours of progress.

Whilst I haven't really been messaging much I'm still working on some things. The flexibility of the event means that I'll probably end up changing a bunch of stuff from my initial lists just to use games I end up doing as the year progresses that weren't initially planned. I'd like to get 4-5 lists finished by the end of the year, but I'll have to wait and see whether that actually ends up being possible. 😅

A small update from me with one new game completed and two swaps to get some badges.

 

To begin with, I completed Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. I have been a fan of Mickey since I played Kingdom Hearts and I stumbled upon this game while browsing the PS+ collection of PS3 games since there is no other way for me to play them as I don't have a PS3. The game is not difficult in itself, but the rarest trophies require you to do a full playthrough (around 15-20 hours) in the right way, and there is just so many ways to screw it easily in 5 seconds and having to restart from scratch that it is almost impossible to do without following a guide step-by-step or already knowing the game perfectly, hence the difficulty rating. Still it was really fun to play as Mickey and I am happy to have another 10/10 completed. Promise I will have a true 10/10 once I get the motivation to continue Super Meat Boy 😁

 

I also completed two small games to replace other games in my list for specific badges:

- First is Proteus, a very weird and experimental game. Usually I like that kind of game but I would not recommend this one. Thankfully it was short. I will use it in list 3 as my 2/10 and third PS3 game instead of Persona 5 Tactica. Since my I already have enough PS3 games, I will swap in TMNT instead of Entwined as my 7/10 so that I can get licensed.

- Second is Uno. I like playing card games and it was perfect for the badges I needed. I will try to make some changes to my first list to get Loyalist and Ultra Rare and it is my first step toward this objective with Uno replacing Child of Light in my list. No changes to the badges in this list yet, but I am now one game away from the Ultra Rare badge!

I have a lot of free time till May and will get less after so it has motivated me quite a lot to make progress. But I have not tackled the hardest games yet so we will see if I can continue like that 😅

 Far Cry: New Dawn

 

Short story but really nice game that offers Far Cry New Dawn, the story grabs you but could contain a little more. But I have to say I really enjoyed it and would play it again. The open world is quite clear and the trophies are easy to get hold of. If you have this game on your list, I would highly recommend it. Of all the Far Cry's I've played so far, this one comes in 4th.

Back for 2024! Latter half of 2023 was hijacked by the beginning of medical school, so hoping to make more progress this year. Theme for 2024 is older games that i've previously left untouched – originals and remasters – combined with modern classics. Tried to pick less time consuming titles to make the list slightly realistic to complete. Best of luck to all participating! For 2024🍻

Uh, you know, I might change my 10/10 for NT. I'm becoming a fanboy of Final Fantasy games having platinumed all six Pixel Remasters and I'm fine with grinding for treasures as long as I get to play every Final Fantasy character(since I love FFXIV and am waiting for Dawntrail). Not saying that Star Ocean 4 is going to be a chore, but... I'm not as into the Star Ocean series as the only one I completed was Star Ocean: Second Story. (I might try to do the Second Story R as I really enjoyed "Tear into Peaches!" )

I can guarantee you that Dissidia NT is more painful, more tedious, more soul crushing than any other game you’ve ever done before. There’s MUCH more to it than grinding treasures. Do DEEP research before committing.
